She could provide a bit of shade :52:

Wanyama, I'm a big Scott Allan fan too but I can't help wondering why he wasn't even on the bench last night or why Ronny refused to play him much at all. I think he has the ability to go past players and provide a brilliant pass too but something must be up.

I definitely wouldn't have him in a deep position, we need someone with experience there and that's Scott Brown.

It could be the UK bookies have us as favourites because they will be expecting a lot of bets from Celtic fans or other folk who don't judge Astana to be that good so they're playing safe with the odds. Bookies in Kazakhstan will probably have them as favourites for the same reason. Well, plus they have a good home record.

Seems they have a tricky winger called Patrick of their own. Patrick Twumasi by all accounts. :fear:

It seems like we'll have to make do with what we've got for this tie.
    I'd like to see:

    --------Gordon

    Janko Lustig Erik KT

    --- Brown McGregor
    ---------Rogic

    Roberts -------Dembele/Christie/Forrest
    ---------Griff

Think this gives us enough energy in the middle with McGregor and Brown sitting fairly deep protecting the CBs.
It also gives us a fair bit of creativity and attacking threat with Rogic, and Roberts especially, able to create something out of nothing. I think getting an away goal will be vital.
We really need a natural LW. Haven't seen enough of Dembele to know if he can function well in that position. We know both Forrest and Christie have put in good shifts there in the past. But not consistently enough.

I can see a score draw over there, maybe 1-1. Then we'll scrape it at home, maybe 0-0 or, if we're lucky a 1-0 or 2-1 win. Gonna be squeaky * time for both games.

    Gordon
    Sviachenko Ajer Lustig
    Janko Tierney(if fit) <<<Wing backs
    Armstrong Bitton Mcgreagor
    Roberts
    Griff

Sit deep break on the counter.

Allan must be the most overrated Celtic player in history.

No, it's £22 for season ticket holders. You get one preseason friendly (Wolfsburg) and the first European game (Red Imps) and I think you also get the first domestic cup game included.
