Listen guys and girls, i share your excitement in contemplating a defeat for the huns, it would be priceless, but we have been here before and i fear they will sneak it again, and i dont want to get myself to excited to be then left gutted and raging, so lets hope for an UNLIKELY Kaunas victory, but with the thought that a good team awaits!

I'm not really fussed whether they win or lose, quite frankly.

If they lose then it'll be funny as * but if they win at least they'll have something else to concentrate on and not just the SPL - like us.

    Kaunas feeling confident

MANTAS FRIDRIKAS, one of the men who helped Kaunas keep a clean sheet at Ibrox last week, is confident the Lithuanian champions can go on to achieve the greatest result in their history tonight against a Rangers side he believes are overrated.

Kaunas have never progressed beyond the second qualifying round of European competition since their first entry nine years ago, but defender Fridrikas says he and his team-mates are ready to take that step at the expense of opponents feeling the strain.

"The pressure will be on Rangers to win and we can wait for our chance," said Fridrikas. "Rangers were not as scary as advertised before the game. Of course, they had more chances than us at Ibrox, but that is logical because they were in front of their own fans.

"Other than that, we managed to control the game, apart from the final 20 minutes, because we are in good physical condition. I think we deserved our result, we managed to defend our goal and that was the main thing. Now we are at home, we can be calm and composed. We have the opportunity to achieve a fantastic result for Kaunas."

    you kidding me ?

you should want them out, then they get no european money, which means for the next few years they can't match our spending power.

Very valid point agreed completely tbh, I think every Celtic fan was quite happy with what the Uefa cup done to Rangers title bid last season :50:

As bad a result as 0-0 at home was for the huns last week the huns should still be able to win tomorrow. Shocks do happen of course but really home or away it is only Kaunas.
Here's hoping that the junior hun reserves can pull off the upset but I can't say I am getting too excited as I don't see it happening.
If the huns do get beat though they are out of Europe altogether as you only move into the UEFA Cup when you reach the third round.

How many of you really think that Rangers will go out of Europe tonight?

And if they do... how long till Walter Smith is off??

They are doing so badly I feel sorry for my blue-nosed friends!! Looking forward to the start of the SPL this week as I think we are gonna cruise it this year.

PS. Kenny Miller still hasn't scored :bbpd:

1-0 Darcheville or Novo will score

Im not deserves them right considering their historic quadruple they harped on about last season.

I think they will qualify. Away from home I know but if they get the first goal Kaunas will be *, they will sit back and play the formation that has sent the footballing world to sleep on many an occasion! Would love nothing more than seeing them getting pumped but unfortunately I cant see it happening

wouldn't be surprised if kaunas wiped the floor with them, their a good enough team to do that imo.

think rangers will get lucky though, then again, there luck in europe has to run out sometime.
