Jim Baxter was the only decent Ranger's player I knew. I met him a few times in real life and he was a proper gentleman.He used to run a pub down in Kinning Park and he never let anyone in with club colours on. He came from Fife and didn't have this bitter Glasgow Hun mentality.

To me it isn't so much a question of thinking they are favourite in the sense you like them... more a case of who you think their better player has been.

I respect most of them as Professional athletes and men, but not the fact they play for that team.

 

None of the current squad who I really like except maybe Miller becuase he is a decent bloke, but I have always respected some of the old time Rangers like Henderson who never let the old firm rivalry get in the way of their friendships with many Celtic players

I could never like any of their players. One Red Star player transferred once to Rangers, Dragan Mladenovic. I never liked him afterwards, but I did respect him as a decent player.

I have had a few dealings with mccoist recently, and he is really sound guy, kind and good with charities, he even wore the hoops top once!

I played tennis with cooper, he was captain of the team, he was fine, always bought the drinks and got me scotland squad autographs v peru, he could keep the tennis ball up for hours, was a private man, but fine to me!

 

I dont have a favourite but i respect gattuso as hes a world class player and ive met numan a few times and hes been a sound guy.

About huns i dont like, i hate tam forsyth,hes a big reason i cant stand rangers and have no time for them,he treated me and a friend like utter * and made us feel useless,ill never forgive him for what he said to us. But thats a story for a different thread.
