    I must admit that I dont read much this days, I find it very difficult to sit and read a book when you have temptetion to go to the computer when you at home.

    Still I thought it will be nice to show some respect to books so pick your favorite books:)

    my choice:
    1.The Catcher in the Rye/ J. D. Salinger
    2.The Shadow of the Wind/Carlos Ruiz Zafón

    Good choice with Catcher in the Rye. I've read it loads of times and still love it.
    I like reading James Herbert and Martina Cole books these days.

    Just finished The Grudge by Tom English - story behind the 1990 Calcutta Cup match at Murrayfield and Grand Slam decider Scotland and England.

    Good read actually - up for Brian Moore's autobiog next

    I enjoyed F Scott Fitzgeralds the Great Gatsby - not read it for years, might need to get a copy again, although I think the house that inspired the book was torn down recently.

    Currently I'm reading Six Days by Jeremy Bowen.

    Kill Your Friends - John Niven, funniest book I've ever read, about an A&R man during Britpop who signs loads of bands, does loads of drugs, and is the most repulsive character ever but is unbelievably hilarious.

    The Game - Neil Strauss - A writer with no experience with women becomes the best pickup artist in the world (true story)

    Trainspotting - Irvine Welsh - has some funnier stories in it that didn't even make the film.

    Also like: Time's Arros by Martin Amis

    Just finished a few books in recent weeks.

    Hollywood Crows by Joseph Wambaugh. Really good cop novel set in LA. Wambaugh wrote a series of Cop novels in the 80s, The Choirboys, The Onion Field and The New Centurions which were outstanding (If you havent read them you really should). This is an up to date story of the same and a nice read.

    Lee: A Romance by Pamela Marvin. About the iconic film star Lee Marvin. Not sentimental or slushy but interesting, moving and a lovely insight into the granite faced and gravel voiced legend.

    If anyone likes The Da Vinci Code then you should check out Silver by Steve Savile. A really good ebook along the same lines. He's also a good friend and could do with the money!!

    Recently finished Freakonomics by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner which was quite interesting. Couldn't believe the first comments about Catcher In The Rye. One of the most *, boring and over rated books I've ever had the misfortune to read. Here's it in a nutshell: (Spoiler)

    Under-achieving, over privileged, ungreatful, posh-boy * gets kicked out of another Rich Kiddies school. Oh and he gets a crack in the jaw from a pimp.
