Fastest Celtic player

Agathe was lightning.

His pace was especially valuable in Europe, cos he could get past top quality defenders just on sheer gasoline.

 

Agathe at his peak would stroll into that celtic team now great pace and great feet

 

I guess it is getting cliche to say this but I think that Jinky had to be one of the fastest celts.... I also think about Kenny Dalglish, Jorge Cadete, Pierre Van Hooijdonk, and of course Agathe. Right now our fastest player HAS GOT to be Cha Du Ri..... Sometimes I think he might make a better winger or attacking midfielder than a defender. But he is a big, mental looking bhoy, so I guess he will make a class defender for us as well

agathe got to be the fastest of any celtic player i've known, the man could pretty much give every single player a 5 yard head start and still beat them to the ball no one could match that he may well of been actually one of the fastest players in the whole of football during his peak time

Surprises me aswell... I've never seen the "lightening pace" that he is supposed to have! Another one that surprises me is Hooper, he doesn't look
any faster than Skippy!

 

i remember seeing bellamy in the semi final of the cup against hearts at hampden and he was by far the quickest on the park.. the hearts defence couldnt deal wif his pace.

Aswell as his assists in Amsterdam and Stuttgart for Chris Sutton and against Barcelona at Celtic Park, again for Chris Sutton to score. Seemed to play better in the bigger games more often than the smaller ones.

I also remember Ronaldinho raving about him in 2004 saying that he would be great in La Liga. Agathe is definetly one of my favourite 'forgotten' players.

 

Agathe was signed for his pace and O'Neill made him into a decent footballer. He didn't need to amzing with the skill as he was so quick.

 

Agathe was insanely fast. Now mibby cha, but Forrest looks rapid also.

Agathe, Samaras, Cha are the fastest i've seen i would say. McGeady and Bellamy could be up there too but they had their fair share of speed!

 

Has to be agathe. Out of the current lot id say cha just ahead of sammy. Does anyone know what kayal is like going forward? I imagine he'd be pretty quick.

 

McGeady was quick * how is Samaras quick! Fortune is quicker than him now id say Cha though.

I read last year that Samaras was the fastest but TBH I cant see it when he plays.
