Expectations for the season

Domestic treble.

Is it possible to drop to the EL after the CL league stage this season?

 

No. 8 CL games only. With the new format it’s like a league. No groups.

 

Strong emphasis on the word ‘hopefully’ tbh.

 

The league and a cup, the big worry is if MOR and Hatate move on will the board invest in quality to replace them?

 

Fair analysis, and how we should be looking to make strides in Europe.

 

I don't think a treble should be expectation, all it takes is one bad match to lose a cup, which can come from injuries at the wrong time or bad refereeing (I feel our loss in the league cup was heavily down to bad refereeing).

A double is always a success for me. A league title and some good CL results would also make me happy.

 

Europe after Christmas.

Confident that the league will take care of itself.

 

League and at least 1 cup is almost guaranteed. A treble is very possible.

Finish top 20 of the CL group and guarantee those 2 extra games. At least one shock win against one of the big guns.

Blochairnbhoy threatening to throw in the towel before the half time whistle on at least 5 occasions.

 

My expectation of Celtic is that we sign a few quality players to improve the first team. At the very least first choice LB, first choice LCB, striker to compete with Kyogo. Whether the club matches my expectations is another matter.

If we can manage that, I expect a double and hope to get the extra 2 CL matches you get if you don't finish in the bottom third of the new league format.

 

36 teams, top 8 go straight though. 9 to 24 get the 2 extra play off games. 25 to 36 are out of Europe on their arses.

 

Wouldn't rule us out getting through the play offs, so my prediction may well be conservative.

 

League cup double and just please don't get embarrassed in Europe.
Had some amazing performances last couple of years at home but schoolboy mistakes..the same mistakes over and over cost us tremendously last season.
Just please please please take our chances and don't brain fart the same manky wet brain farts we do every year

And final expectation.....play the celtic way

 

My hopes: League title, Scottish cup, League cup. Avoid more humiliations in Europe whilst getting a few wins along the way. Signs that the club is doing it's all to be the very best it can be with the resources we currently have.

My expectations: League title and one of the cups. More defeats in Europe in true Celtic groundhog day style. The board continuing it's 'that'll do' attitude towards moving the club forward.

 

Expect - The league, and at least 1 cup.

My hopes - I said last season I thought we'd be doing well to get a win in the CL. I'd really like us to progress from the group stages, but I can't say I'm particularly confident.

 

I think we will win the league and hopefully by a few more points than last season. If there is a bigger gap at the top though it's probably coming from rangers being worse than celtic being better. One of the two cups feels like a fair expectation as well.

I don't think we will make the champions league play off round. Every year I expect to finish bottom of our group and we usually do. The new format makes it a bit more unpredictable but over 8 games I expect 6-7 points max
