    I was lucky today, I learned two pieces and both of them came up . The close reading was about video games so it helped to understand :icon_mrgreen:

    Higher English was ok i guess.

    im glad the close reading was about video games cause its at least a bit interesting and understandable although i don't see how the * they can give us a passage written by Boris Johnson, hes an idiot.

    for drama i done the question about a character who feels insecure about his position in society for John Proctor in the Crucible which i think i have done alright in although i started writing the introduction and the first two paragraphs for a different essay and i had to scribble it all out.
    for poems i done the question on a poem which is critical of a set of views on old woman and calvinism, i think that essay is a lot better than my crucible essay.

    i am confident that i have passed, but i am likely to just get a C. i might be surprised though.

    Had Higher English today;

    Felt the Close Reading was reasonable, but there was one * of a lot of analysis questions! What happened to the good old 1 mark understanding questions!?

    CE was mixed. Done questions 7 and 13 for The Cone Gatherers and London, noticed when I came out question 6 fitted The Cone Gatherers great but didn't realise it at the time which was annoying though!

    Fingers crossed.

    Hahaha Boris is a buffoon! :icon_mrgreen: I did the same Crucible question as you, and before that I also did the introduction to another Crucible question (the tension one) before scribbling it out. But in general I thought it was ok, and I'm never going to have to analyse another quote or deconstruct another image ever again :veryhappy:

    yeah, the tension one was the one that i started.

    i actually managed to use up the full booklet of paper for my two essays, i was pretty happy with that. and throwing away all my english stuff knowing that i will never have to do english again was probably one of the best feelings ever :icon_mrgreen:

    When I was reading passage 2, I couldn't help but read in in Johnstone's voice haha!

    I thought the exam was reasonable. I chose number 3, the question about tension at the end for The Crucible and number 14 for my poem. There was a belter of a question for the cone gatheres too but I shat myself and couldn't think of anything that came up in that * * book!

    For the question about tone did you say that it was sarcasm?
    The passage was crap!!!!
