Naylor was dire. Don’t blame the payer, blame the manager for picking him.
<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Strachan first choice back 4
Hinkel, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor.

Would have preferred
Hinkel, Balde, Zaliukus (from Hearts), O’Dea

Got to be honest that's the very first time I've heard of anything like that with CN. Shocking and disappointing to say the least if it's true. A man that played for the club should know a lot better.

Remember a while back Scott Brown had a go at him as well for comments he was making about Lennon and the team. Although all pundits have their moments, Nicholas is no different by any stretch, but I would never have thought he'd be the type to make malicious comments like that. Again, that's if it's true.

Why?

Wee Tosh is a huge Tim, I'll never forget his wee jig in the tunnel while waiting for the final whistle that beautiful day in May 1998. :celt_2:

Had a cracking left peg on him too, slow as a six week remand though.

There was a link from the record which has been taken down. If the link was invalid at the time, whoever posted it would have been pulled up. If the record's info was inaccurate, Nicholas would have taken them to court and/or they would have had to issue an apology.

It's pretty clear cut from where I'm sitting.

Well that's the first I've been made aware of that :52: :54: I'll reserve judgement for now, but that's Hun like behaviour to say the least from a guy I actually didn't mind at all, if indeed it was the case. I honestly don't remember this being highlighted at the time? Granted, I wasn't on forums or message boards at the time but you think I'd have heard something!

The quote was apparently in the Daily *, are we really taking what they say as gospel now?

There is also a poster on there who says he is sure it was a hun wind up and that's why it was pulled so quickly. Record, in their haste for a bad news story, publish something which is a lot of *.

It couldn't happen, could it?

I don't understand why Charlie would get involved in that first off with that hun * or how 'if' he did they are still top men in sky..
Outlandish remarks at a Celtic game by one of our own, doesn't ring true..
Why would the record take it down, big story on ex Tim,they'd love for that to be true..

I can't see them printing a direct quote from someone as high profile as Nicholas without having heard it.

Stuff like that happens all the time on training pitches.

They are big boys, I wouldn't hold that against him.
