I’d put my house on the ESL going ahead if UEFA told these 5 nations that only 1 club gets in each season.
The fans would be behind it then as they wouldn’t feel so important without guaranteed European football every season.
All this has done is strengthen the top 5 leagues grip on the biggest slices of prize money. And the ONLY reason Sky pundits were up in arms is because Sky wasn’t part of the broadcast suppliers. If they had been there would have been nothing but positive press for this.

Yes. Thats what the word Champion means. You know, the team that WON their league. It should also include Cup winners. You know the teams that WON their cups. League and cup Runners up should go into Europa league and possibly 3rd place teams.
4th place can go into ECL.
If there arent enough teams in each comp then put in teams to CL that have previously WON a European competition.
If any are left from that then put them into EL and then ECL then if still to be made up put the European finals runners up into it.
Thos set up would cover winners and runners up in both domestic league and cup comps as well as european finalists

What do you think about project from English football "Big 6" ("super league" clubs) and UEFA to put Celtic and Rangers in English Premier League ?

To be a suffient deterrent all 6 teams need to be docked a minimum of 40 points immediately.
This will put them all out of European contention for next season plus void the cup results.

It’s what should happen.... but Wouldn't that just prompt them into going ahead with their ESL ?

U€FA will act just like the SFA did with the Huns dossier and threats... absolutely nothing. More likely to be in discussions on how to give them more money and power within the current setup.

Look what has happened since the Sevco antics a year ago ...

Zero punishment , statement after statement, covid breaches all over the shop that they have the neck to appeal, zero red cards, zero penalties given against until season over, SFA cooperating in their manipulation of bans to suit fixtures/injuries, referees giving them everything, Ger’rard allowed to slag off ‘anybody everybody’ without sanction....

It just goes on and on.... uefa will be just the same with those clubs and have probably just created a bigger situation for themselves than if they’d just let them get on with it.

They're wont be any punishment from what I've seen they're being praised and the pundits are saying you can't punish the fans for something the club has done which is a nonsense and means no club should ever be punished for anything other than crowd trouble

I agree with most of this and there was a bit of hyperbole in there to make the point but your last point / question is very naive. The football authorities, media companies and super clubs couldn't be less interested in what the fans think, that all stopped 30 years ago with the pernicious effect of Sky entering the arena.

The reason the super clubs want the breakaway is they have got themselves into this vicious cycle of needing more and more money which goes straight out the door to players and agents i.e. completely unsustainable cost structures which 'forces' them to come up with bullshit ideas like a break away league. This just perpetuates the vicious cycle when what needs to be addressed is the excessive power that players and their agents have which fuels the hyperinflation in salaries and fees

UEFA and FIFA should force through a salary cap for players and a maximum amount agents can receive.
Chairman and owners should warn players about trying to manipulate them as they support manager fully.
After all its the players job to win games.

While I detest the greed of these sort of clubs …. and their increasingly common oil state ownerships…

….I equally detest governments getting involved and creating new legislation to control what is effectively private industry.

It’s basically telling an industry or company that they are forever bound to trade in one market only and only under the rules of one controlling power or trade body that you have no option to change.

To me.. it’s more corrupt than what they are trying to block.

That said…. I’d happily see Celtic take up any slot going spare if it comes to anything. (As long as we don’t have any ‘hangers on’ going with us.

I can see why they are doing it though ….. epl has the biggest tv contract in Europe and probs second biggest in world after nfl 1.6 billion that’s from sky that’s propped up by the publics money from subscriptions of course advertising helps pay for it too now wages are through the roof but that fine because government collects tax from these but it’s the transfer money I think the government is starting to view as a bit of a concern think only like a small percentage of that money that went out was spent in Britain a vast majority of that epl transfer money this year has went out of the country with not a lot coming back into the country and been that way for some time now different kettle of fish up here Celtic brings in more money than it spends infact every club in spfl the same bar rangers
