I like Neville and I agree with a lot of what he says but I dont truly believe his heart is in what he says deep down he normally wouldn’t give a * and would be all for it only reason he’s against it is it could financially impact him it’s got * all about him feeling sympathy for fans he’s signed up as sky sports top pundit and is invested in a English club that has championship to epl ambitions all that is in jeapordy with super league

The issue here which dwarves anything to do with unfair financial advantages and tv money (which as a Celtic fan stings as much as it possibly could considering our size in comparison with diddy clubs we can’t compete for players against) is that they are removing competition.

The most basic and fundamental principle of professional sport is being shat on to make billionaires more wealthy.

I’m not sure mate, I think he has a decent set of morals which has been proven this past year and a bit.

He only owns 10% of Salford, his other businesses have been skelped whilst he’s made sure all 600 of those people he employs were paid their wages but over and above that he put up NHS staff and other key workers FOC.

He deserves a lot of credit for that.

I feel sick to the stomach listening to that on Sky. As it stands football's been snatched away. The fightback needs to be strong.

I 100% agree with that and I'm dead against it as well. The FA and more so Uefa have essentially been trying to get the rich richer for some time now the Champions League is more or less an invite only tournament at this rate even more so with the restructure today where as the EPL and sky as I say fawn over the amount of money involved in it to the extent they've even made deadline day an event. Salary caps have been long long over due in football and it's now past the point where these clubs need the league. The league essentially handed the power to the clubs by allowing them to spend mental sums of money on dross so they could market the best league in the world. The only reason they are arsed about this new league is because the EPL would crumble to nothing and sky would massively be hit in the pocket.

The EPL has been a cash cow for sky for years now which they've been happy to exploit the clubs are now swimming in debt

I think this is why uefa have went off their heads they have pandered and pandered to some of these clubs to keep them happy without * off anyone else and they have still gone and down what they did uefa sky and others have created their own Frankenstein that agnelli at juve is the biggest snake of them all think that * off ceferin the most because he worked with him about the 3rd comp and revamp of cl
Uefa should just make cl a all champion tournament stop pandering to the big clubs let the fans do the talking see what happens for a change

Think it’s clear as day that Neville and Carragher are sincere in what they say.

Their guys who have made a * load of money through playing and representing Sky Sports, aye. But they clearly respect the history of football and the competitiveness.

I’m gonna be a bit devils advocate and point something else out teams like the greedy six behaving way they are when you look at it no mark * like Burnley are getting a 100 million for just playing in league as the top six take the six away teams like burnley go bust overnight they can’t keep that type of wages up

I don't think they have been named because they don't exist yet.

I'm wondering if they have still to invite some clubs or some pulled out?

I thought that but they are in talks over a cross border with Belgium and I’m sure they voted to split all European money revenue from all clubs equally amongst their league dont see them doing a upturn tbh

I'd guess Zenit St Petersburg. Russian Oligarchs. Or the Turkish clubs, they are always getting in trouble with UEFA over FFP.

Who ever they are they must be expelled from their domestic leagues for stealing football.

They will be waiting on a vote and the 3 who they think might be swayed will be invited

Don’t think a American investment bank would like seeing their money go to Russia tbh
