People that can't afford a season ticket but would pay roughly a third of the price of a season ticket just for three games sound like the sort of people that deserve to miss out.

Our club should have a loyalty scheme for matches like these .... both home and away games should play a big part in that. Certain matches should be targeted for vouchers... and no publicity on which games.

If vouchers were handed out at the end of games to fans leaving the ground it would mean that those who attend regularly have first dibs after season ticket holders get their ONE ticket they are rightly entitled to.

Ticket allocation for CL games will be a debating point every year as long as season ticket holders are allowed to buy extra seats. :54:

    Aye.

You cant afford £366 for 21 games (£17.42 per match) but you can spend £115 for 3 games (£38.33 per match)...

There are certain fans who cant afford a season ticket. But if we made the Champions League final and won the Treble they could afford to go to every home Champions League game, the 3 Finals, the game we wrap up the League and Flag day :smiley-laughing002:

I also think ST holders deserve two tickets each. If you've made a big investment and commitment and go to matches alone, why shouldn't you be offered the chance to share the best moments of the season with friends and family?

As i've said before 4 extra each is extreme, but they would have gone if it was only two each so if you don't have a ST you're not gonna get a ticket.

I actually think 4 each is the best way. As imagine you had a few kids but couldnt take them to every game so never got them season tickets but wanted to take them to the CL then 4 is a good number as if it was only 1 or 2 then a season ticket holder might not get to take his kids with him. But 4 would be enough for most people.

It's the same scenario for away European games and Cup finals, people always moan they can't get a ticket BUT again it is a fair system to allow people who are paying the most to get all the tickets if they want/need them. Nothing you can do about it, just need to do your best. For example I have only had 2/3 Cup final tickets from the Club but ive been to about 7/8 finals or had a European away ticket from the Club but ive had tickets for 5 European away games or only got 5/6 tickets for games at Ibrox from the Club but have been to about a dozen or so games there. There's other ways of getting tickets if you really want to go by asking people or whatever.

Fans on here saying they wanted tickets but dont know season ticket holders, you dont even need to have knew one. Theres loads on here(probably) if you asked on here chances are someone would have got you one, that pablo88 even offered.

Also for ST holders that want to get their kids into Celtic. I imagine my little niece at a league game and think she'd be very bored. Any ST holder that wanted to get her hooked would have to take her to a few CL games before she'd ever be hooked enough to want to go to league games. That's not because she's some sort of 9 year old glory hunter; that's just how kids are unless they are brought up with it.

if season ticket holders want extra tickets then why can't they join the queue when they go on general sale ( sitting together is probably not an option anyway)...

the 3 match package is already a bargain,
season books were discounted this season

so what reward for the fan who is not a season ticket holder but goes to games regularly home and away? i think the club is over focused on rewarding season ticket holders. ( i don't attend any games due to location so maybe some will think it is not my place to speak out but i have put plenty into CFC for more than 40 years ... first game was 1973/74)

Not really, circumstances change from month to month. If I couldn't afford the £400 odd quid in August but could afford £130 odd from Septembers pay does that mean that I would deserve to miss out?

Not really, but can't you pay season tickets off monthly? I'd argue if you couldn't afford the £50 down payment or whatever it is in July/August/September (ST's were still on sale before the extra packages) then you probably couldn't afford the £115 in September. Unless you were just wanting to go to the CL games without attending any league/cup games.

You need to plan in advance though. You dont just willie nilly come July go, im going to book a holiday for next week "oh * ive not got enough money". You have to save/have money to buy anything, a season ticket is the same.

If money was tight but you were a mad fan desperate to go to the football youd only have to save up £10 a week for a year and that would be enough to buy your season ticket and bus fare to 21 games.

But what the current policy is doing is making the buying of tickets only available for the only people who certainly already have a ticket. You will always get disappointed people and you will always get ticket touts, but the current system encourages * off fans and sales on the secondary markets. Within 15 minutes of tickets going on sale they were on ebay for multiples of the original price and while you can never completely clamp down on this, you are actively encouraging it by only selling tickets to people for already have theirs.

If people want to be unscroupulous about it, they could basically pay £500 on a season book knowing that if they can buy and sell their extra 4 european tickets every year that they could get a free season book every year. And clearly that is what is happening. While the rest go to friends, family, and connections who dont usually go (I did this myself last year with one of my spares).

And on top of that the actual selling of the seats looked like a complete botch so people could still buy tickets two hours after they were declared sold out to those queing outside celtic park.

I just think the whole thing is utterly unfair (and I managed to get tickets).

Aye, requires a credit check though so if you've a * credit rating you can't pay it monthly.

Doesn't always work like that though, I'd done something similar this season and then got hit with a £600 quid bill last month due to my car being an absolute banger. So that's where the season ticket money went to.

I agree with it to be honest, think it's a good reward for season ticket holders to have the opportunity to buy for family and friends, lets face it, we all know at least one season ticket holder anyway.

As a season ticket holder, I feel that it is my right to receive priority over non season ticket holders. Fantastic pricing policy too! I did not take the opportunity to buy any extra tickets for last year though but I can see that this was a potentially good marketing thing to do.

As an ex season ticket holder ST holders should get priority on tickets all the time.
