Not bad at all considering all the chances missed. It could've been like 5:5. I can't complain, lads can't be accused for lack of effort, especially Samaras, but we've missed too many sitters. McDonald should be replaced as soon as possible and get punted.

P.S. Rapid - Hapoel result? I know it doesn't mean anything to us, but I'm still curious.

having a laugh? he's the least productive player in the team. cant skin an onion, loses the ball every time and can't put the ball in the back of the net with 3 or 4 attempts at goal, utter *

    * was Fortune, Naylor and McGinn ever going to add to that team? Shocking. Hope the board saw how * our strength in depth is when you are looking to bring someone on to change a game. We played decent enough tonight though i thought just couldnt find the goal. Skippy really should have scored. Always next year now i suppose.

Tottally agree mate, we are out, we now need hamburg to lose there next 2 games.

Some of his sub decisions tonight for me was a joke, why not go for it if we got beat we got beat, draw was never going to be enough after rapid getting hammered.

Disappointing ye, but with the score in Vienna being the way it was a bit of sensible pragmaticism has to come into it. We are not yet in a position where we can risk injuring our best players for what is becoming a lost cause.

What are you talking about he was one of our hardest working players tonight, are you not thinking of McDonald?

best player on the night ngeumo by a mile his passing, tackling and pressing was exceptional, thought robson was good also.

really want this european capaign to end now were just not ready as a team to play in it.

lets get a consistant line up out in the league stick with it and get some confidence in our own ability and with a couple of new signings we can have another go next year
with players who know each others games

Caldwell was exellent, you must have been watching a diffrent game from me. on another day he could have been showing another red with his hands all over the place.

    Another game without Scott Brown

    Another decent team performance.

    Coincidence?

Well, thx for holding Hamburg to a draw.

For those who wonder about the other game tonight: another disheartening evening for Rapid. Again we hit the metal twice, but failed to score once from 8 huge chances (correct me if I didn't count correctly, fellow Rapid fans). We absolutely dominated the game the first 60 minutes or so; Hapoel scored their first from a deflected shot. Their second came when two Rapid defenders took each other out (taking the term "embarrassing" to new extremes), and the third was just the cherry to top it ...

Cruel evening for us. We lost the two Hapoel games 1-8 on aggregate, hit the metal 4 times, and in all fairness I really don't think the aggregate result does us any justice.

Anyway, that's football: you score, you win. You miss, you lose.

Totally disagree, I thought he was very slack in possession and overall had a poor game

TBH, we have both made a rip-roaring * of things eh?
Looks like the game in Vienna will be meaningless.
