Greetings from Zagreb :) I am a Dinamo Zagreb fan and a simpatizer of Celtic. I am very excited about playing Celtic and here is my view of our group if anybody is interested.

Teams worth (Transfermarkt, mil.eur)
Salzburg-66.40
Dinamo-54.85
Celtic-54.03
Astra-29.95

Most expensive player (mil.eur)
Salzburg-9
Celtic/Dinamo-5
Astra-2.5

Here is my view of the group. Watched Salzburg few times, really good team. I dont know how much % will they give in this games but still for me clear favourites for the first place. Great attack. They have enough money to have a good European club.

Astra I dont know anyting about. I know they knocked out Lyon but I never watched 1 of their games so I have no comment on them. However since they are in EL they are not *.

Dinamo Zagreb- team with some good good players which dominates in Croatia for 10 years. No one can touch them, and then the second they go in Europe they become the ones that cant do anything. Strange story, I would need 10 pages to write about Dinamo fails in Europe. Atmosphere around club 0/10, 500 came to watch them week ago in croatian league (Zagreb has 1mil people). Still, with all that chaos around the club, not bad on the pitch.
Celtic- dont need to write anything, you all know it much better then I do. European giant in a crisis. Croatian journalists are really happy with this group and it is a shame that Celtic is in a state in wich Dinamo has a chance to be second if they play a really really good year.

I would give 80% chance to Celtic, and 20% to Dinamo, it depends also who will * up at Astra or take points to Salzburg.

btw if anybody is going to Zagreb I am going to make a Thread in supporters part so be free to ask questions there or pm me for help. Cheers.

They have already replaced him though with Massimo Bruno, I'm sure the Salzburg fan on here the other day said they were aware of him leaving.

Astra won 5-0 the day and went top of the Romanian League, they will end up pumping us all and winning the Group even though they are the least known Club lol

Dinamo just turned around 2-0 to 2-3 victory against biggest rival Hajduk Split in Split, 2 goals by Cop and goal by Man.United striker Henriquez in 94 minute.

The thing I want to ask all of you is what is you comment on this bellow.
It is a statement of Ivica Vrdoljak, Croatian who is capitan od Legia. He gave it to the croatian press. (His words, my translation)
He said that Dinamo should not be scared. Celtics 2 best players are defensive midfielders. We pressed on those 2 and got the thing done. We let their wings free on purpouse and they didnt know what to do with that.

Please, I know its Legia and there is surely some dose of anger or what ever in those words, but what do you think, is there some truth there or no?

Currently our best players are a keeper, defender and an attacking midfielder.

Welcome to the forum mate :50:

I don't agree that they're our 2 best players, in fact they've been among our worst, but one thing's for sure, any team who pressure us in midfield and play quick on the counter attack are likely to give us problems.

Against Warsaw we had zero pace down the wings, but we've signed a couple of wingers who will hopefully solve that problem. It all depends how the new signings settle in, but if our defence keeps playing the way it is we could be in trouble.

Our best players are probably Van Dijk, Lustig, Brown and Forrest, 2 have been injured Brown and Forrest and never played the qualifiers and another 1 is now injured Lustig. They are a centre-back, right-back, centre-midfielder and winger.

£445 day trip to Salzburg :56:

Welcome to the forum, Agram. Met many good friends from Dinamo over the years, that follow Celtic everywhere in Europe.

Off their heads but cracking folk. One of the most consistent supports that have followed us away in Europe.

What exactly is the criteria for being a "European Giant"?

Absolutely disgraceful price. Celtic should subside it and offer it supporters for nothing more than £250.

Salzburg are lacking consistency. They occasionally play very well, next week they play a lot worse.

Their main problem is lack of proper competition in the Austrian league. Unless of course a few days ago when they lost to Sturm Graz at home....

Not knowing much about Astra, I think the group is pretty wide open. Anything can happen...
