Kevin Kampl looks a good player.

Looking forward to these games. Salzburg is a beautiful city.

I wish for the sake of Austrian football that any Austrian team gets somewhere in <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Europe</st1:place>. But no chance. What does it help if <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Salzburg</st1:place></st1:City> beat the likes of Rapid, Wiener Neustadt and Altach? Nothing if you lose to Malmö. And lets face it, Malmö are by no means a European top club. Mediocre in the very best case!<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Soriano was the top goal scorer in this competition last year. Hopefully Brown will be back and can put a mark on him quickly.

I'd fancy our chances of progressing, despite all logical evidence to the contrary. :56:

Soriano is legit. He is for them what Hooper was for us. He will be a big threat to us. Salzburg in general are a good side. If we got anything from the game in Salzburg I would say that would be a very good result. Salzburg really blew it against Malmo. They were all over them at home and up 2-0 when they gave up an awful goal in injury time which was just a major comedy of errors at the back. That gave Malmo life and boy did they take advantage of it in the second leg.

Not sure. He scored 8 in Europe last year, so we'll need to keep an eye on him.

I'd recommend Zagreb to any of our fans considering going. Beautiful little part of Europe.

Not sure how it'll be in October, though! :56:

But apart from the Ajax game (who couldn't care less about the Europa League) all his goals were against poor teams. Of course we are right now a poor team :smiley-laughing002:

I don't know...I'd worry about anyone coming from La Masia, regardless of our current form. :smiley-laughing002:

We are satisfied with the draw, but we are not overconfident, because last year we were in the same group with PSV, Ludogorets and Chornomorets Odessa and only won 1 point. The team was in crisis, and we didn't have a proper goalkeeper.

We have very good players, but i don't think we are very good as a team. But Celtic is in crisis, RB lost against Malmo, so that give us hope :)

I think first two games are crucial for us, we must win against Astra at home and try to get a draw in Glasgow.

For anyone who missed it earlier -

Red Bull Salzburg, I can see them beating us twice.

    Their attacking options are unbelievable:

Jonathan Soriano (centre forward) - 106 games, 96 goals, 37 assists.

Alan (centre forward) - 112 games, 75 goals, 34 assists.

Sadio Mane (left wing) - 87 games, 45 goals, 32 assists.

Kevin Kampl (right wing) - 88 games, 20 goals, 43 assists.

Dinamo Zagreb have also got a couple of their own free goalscoring forwards.

One infact who was linked with us before going, El Arbi Hillel Soudani.

Duje Cop (centre forward) - 90 games, 52 goals, 14 assists.

El Arbi Hillel Soudani (right wing) - 55 games, 25 goals, 14 assists.

Junior Fernandes (left wing) - 45 games, 19 goals, 6 assists.

On top of that, they have loaned Angelo Henriquez from Man United.

Young Chilean striker who had a very good record back in Chile at Club Universidad de Chile (15 goals in 27 games) and with Chile U21 (10 caps 14 goals).

It includes everything, European games too. Overall record at the club.

We sure as * have no one scoring at that rate in Scotland with us.

They have 4 players spreading an unreal amount of goals amongst each other.

As I was saying Soriano got top scorer by scoring against poor teams in the Europa League. They are obviously good players but these stats are misleading.

If Alan had stayed at Fluminense there is no way he would have scored that much.
