    Never a penalty, dude. That completely ruined Germany's momentum. On the other hand, they did look pretty limp up front without a a striker. Great play in and around the box but no clinical finishing. I thought the difference was in both teams playmakers. Whereas Greaseman will give you a goal or two Ozil doesn't.

    Schweinsteiger shouldnt even be playing for Germany now anyway, poor from them to give him a game. He's looked finished since he joined Man U, not got the legs and games more or less passing him bye. Hummels should be captaining them and they could have used Weigl or Emre Can or Kimmich.

    I don't think he had a bad game tonight. But I tend to agree. He pays like he's 35 these days. Looks it too. He's still a good player but there comes a time where you just have to give new blood a go. The fact Podolski is still involved is even worse though

    Aye, as soon as I seen him for Man U at the start of the season he immediatly put me in mind of Paul Hartley when he played for us, legs had gone, got a wee belly on him, no energy. Tries his best but just past it.

    I actually thought he done well in the game before that one but still shouldnt really be playing although Khedira and Gundogan were injured.

    He's not first choice, only in because of injuries/suspensions. As was Emre Can tonight.

    Think Podolksi is an important member of the squad, even if that's not on the pitch. Could have been doing with a Reus instead of him though.

    I think the mixture of Portugal being the * they are and France scared of not losing could kill the game.

    Wouldn't be surprised to see extra time and pens.
