I'm not disputing that they are good players. I just don't believe the hype around them matches the level of ability. Ronaldo and Lewandowski have been doing it for years and are revered by opposition defences. I don't believe Kane and Vardy hold or will hold that same level of reverence.

 

I don't think Kane or Vardy are anywhere near the level of Lewandowski or Ronaldo.

 

I've been really impressed with Wales. Granted Russia were * * but the Welsh movement up front was excellent. Ramsey is a really clever player.

Judging by performances at this tournament I'd rather have Vardy than Ronaldo in my team. Ronaldo has been pish.

 

Judging them over their careers I'd have Ronaldo. Obviously.

 

Heard some balloon on the radio yesterday saying at the moment Bale is better than Messi because of his athleticism

They don't have their club team mates playing with them at the Euros though. Ronaldo looks like a shadow of the player he is with Madrid when he plays with Portugal.

 

I still have the extremely controversial opinion that Ronaldo is a better player than Jamie Vardy mate.

 

No one is denying that at all, I'm simply saying that if I were offered the opportunity to choose one of them based on tournament form (and I wasn't manager of Spain, Italy or Germany) I'd choose Vardy.

Ronaldo's form dips when he's not playing with a really high calibre of players around him.
