Looks good but I'd swap Walters for doyle. I thought Doyle was great the other day.

 

He was very good but I think Walters would be better. Bigger and stronger.

 

I though Ireland did Ok in their last game. I havent watched much of them in recent years. In terms of defence I thought Richard Dunne was very good but I thought that your LB looks rotten - Ward I think. Is there no other option at LB because he looks St. Mirren sort of standard.

 

We have nobody else at all. My suggestion was Seamus Coleman at left back. He's not even in the squad though.

 

Could they not use Ciarain Clark at left back?

Or John O'Shea left back and Coleman right back?

 

Keane and Walters the other way around and that will be our team.

Clark could easily be used at left back but trap seems to think its a good idea to neglect our young talented players.

We need one of Walters/Long/Doyle. Without a doubt.

 

Ian Harte should have been called up to left back, Championship TOTY twice in a row.

With the current squad though id go Duff lb, McGedy rm and McClean lm.

Wasnt long ago that everyone was licking Wards *, but I suppose that can be forgiven as we where playing Kevin Kilbane at that stage.

 

Think Robbie Keane would be good in an attacking mid role, he has done it a lot of times before for Ireland, good at linking up play and he could give the midfield a hand, definitely need one of those three as an out ball though, my choice is Walters without a doubt.

 

Ward has never impressed me, he got absolutely destroyed away to Russia aswell so I knew he wasnt good enough, I don't think Harte would be much better either.

 

I'd have Keane playing off Walters. Hopefully Walters can win a few headers and play Keane in with a bit of luck.

Eamon Dunphy made a good point tonight, the Spanish don't score an awful lot. In World Cup 2010 they:

Lost 1-0, and won 2-0, 2-1, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-0. In Euro 12 so far they have drawn 1-1.

that's 1 goal in each of their last 5 games at a major competition.

He got caught out loads of times Croatia got a lot of joy down the right side.

 

I don't think he's in the squad mate. They have * like Mcshane in there instead of him

I'm going to have to change my mind and admit Trapattoni will have to leave after this Euro campaign. I'll be ever grateful for what he's done here and he has been a brilliant manager however we need someone younger and someone who is willing to experiment with young talent. We have great potential for a very good upcoming team.
