    Have to say I was disappointed with the Irish defence tonight and overall though lucky with a couple of goals Croatia deserved the win.

    Not the end and hope to see an improvement in the next game. Have to get a win though to stand any chance of qualifying. Won't be easy but not impossible either.

    What about McGeady he was the worst man on the park,every time he got the ball,which wasnt much,he wanted shot of it.Granted he put in the cross for the goal.Never looked a10m pound player and I dont think he ever will

    First time I have watched Ireland in years. Thought it looked an exciting and positve lineup with McGeady and Duff on the wings and Kean up front. Neither wingers did much and Aidan was pretty invisible but Duff came on to a decent game as time went on. I thought over all Ireland played pretty well but just Croatia had some lethal finishes. Ireland's weakest player IMO is that left back - is it Ward?

    Yes that ward was terrible at fault for the 2nd goal as well with the clearance. Srna ripped him loads of times tonight.

    Deserved win for croatia, completely outplayed and our un-characteristic mistakes at the back cost us, Modric was on another level tonight. Having said that we can play alot better than we did tonight, gave them too much respect at times especially after we equalised. Still have some blind hope if we get our belief back. The irish fans were great especially at the end.

    A couple of things.

    1.Croatia got 2 very lucky goals,and at a push i would say the 1st was a bad goal aswell.

    2.Ireland are/were and will always be punching above their weight.

    3.Croatia deserved the win.

    4.Still proud to be Irish and always will be.

    Luka Modric made 62 passes v Ireland. No player for either side made more passes than him. He had pass accuracy of 94%.He controlled the game baller.

    I was pleasantly surprised by our team. Thought we would have massive trouble with Ireland. But Mandžukić was terrifying. 2 unclear situations though. The Jelavić goal depends on whether the Ireland player controlled the ball fully, and wanted to pass to Given, or not. The Ireland penalty? Yes, but why wasn't the game stopped before?

    Best 3 players on our side: Mandžukić, Modrić, Schildenfeld. Andrews was good for Ireland. Tried hardest to score.
