We'll earn our money instead of being bank rolled by ill gotten money from oil barons that kill and plunder the nations natural resources for a quick buck, thank you very much.

Your information regarding FIFA introducing the player quota's is also well well wide of the mark. It is against EU labour laws and would only ever be allowed in a country that is a democracy by name and name only such as Russia.

I hope we pull another Russian side out in the Champions League and we'll see how your lot cope in Paradise.

i bet if one of such oil barons bought your club, bought all those players you dream of in the Transfer Roumors thread and made you Cl winners you would be one of the first to wear the furry russian hat at parkhead.

the guy made a good point about better salaries in russia to prove that Pavlo and anyone as decent is more than unlikely to join a scottish club with current salary rates compared to ones in russia and european top clubs.

so why throw politics in it and be so aggresive?

He took an extremely condescending tact with Celtic football club and i took offence to it and stuck up for my team. As a fan i think that's the right thing to do would you not agree?

Russia is not the be all and end all of European football, your an emerging nation and if you listen to one of your own, Andrei Kanchelkis, you'll understand that Scottish football is still of a higher standard than Russian football.

again i can see no offence towards Celtic in his post. In fact he only mentioned Celtic in terms of Pavlo not going to join it. The main point tho is that at the moment all scottish clubs are unable to compete with russian clubs salary wise which is obviously true. I agree you have to stick up for your team and i always do myself but honestly i cant see anything offensive here. or was it that little green smiley face that offended you?
and im not taking footbal standards here. its the money factor were discussing. so no need to get into this argument. leave it til our clubs or national teams meet again. and yes, i respect what Kanchelskis said.

There was a patronising slant of 'Russian teams are richer therefore better than Celtic' I was merely pointing out that wasn't strictly true.

Back on topic then if its a financial argument, how much is he earning in Russia?

noone will tell you exactly. things like that are never published in russian press. theres only rumours that go around. its smth in the region of 2m eur at the moment with huge bonuses for every goal scored. i know Arshavin is getting 3m.

So nothing even close to what Ibrahimovic has been offered at Inter i.e. 200k a week clear of tax yet take them both on last nights performance and which one looked better out of him and Pavlyuchenko? I'd say the amount of money in Russian football is over exxegarated it's still nowhere near even the Italians who are apparently skint.

mate are you being serious? i just dont get it what are you trying to prove here?
where did you read that russian clubs can compete with the likes of Inter, Milan, Barca, Manu or others alike? what you were told is that half of the russian premiere league clubs can afford to pay their players salaries higher than in scotland full stop. which means that a decent player from zenit, spartak, locomotive, cska, rubin, dynamo, saturn is more than unlikely to move to a scottish club if his own club wants to keep him. more than that all of these clubs can afford to buy any player from Celtic or any other scottish club and offer him higher salary if he agrees to move to Russia.
again im not talking football standards, as Celtic is definately stronger than most of those.
