    I've heard on a TV show that people from Europe think there was a civil war here, because it was supposedly the Catholic and Orthodox parts of the same nationality that clashed, that the war lasted 3 years instead of 5. Some people, on the other hand, believe it lasted 10.:56: There's other things, about the Bosnian war, but I'll leave it here.
    And if it was a Serb instead of a Croat, I'd still think the same of the NI Hun who said things like that. Though, I probably wouldn't have found it if it was a Serb in question, because I found out this story in a Croatian newspaper, then searched the net to verify it.

    For any confused on here, although not 100% but as a rule of thumb

    Croatia = Celtic
    Serbia = Huns

    I see. Well, Leone said it was 'horror of war', so I reminded him it wasn't very peaceful here too. Agreed, the Troubles don't come close to it.

    Thats an awful rule of thumb tbh

    Is that from the same vein as the Israeli/Palestinian one?

    Yes they had to mention the serbs. Its a news report of the abuse the guy got, and saying that to someone is pretty shocking, 'your family deserved to be raped'. Obviously in the news report they are going to reveal some of the shocking things said, this being one of them. Dont think anyone is attacking the serbs pal.

    Get that chip off your shoulder. :50:

    He is Serbian by blood, at least half. But, since he gave his heart for my homeland, he's a Croat in my eyes, and shamefully, he wore blue. Papac, a Bosnian Croat, plays for Rangers. We've only had Viduka who can be counted for as a Croat of sorts... Sorry Wrigley, although I'm a Croat, I'll have to say no to that theory.:icon_mrgreen:

    The breakup of Yugoslavia and the relating conflict was a 5 year war in the Central European part of the Balkan peninsular.

    Ethnic conflict in the region dates back several centuries and includes infighting, tension and killings in the former Yugoslavia both during and before WW2, fighting between the Slavic nations and the Austro-Hungarian Empire prior to WW1 and long-running wars between the Hapsburg Austrians and the Ottoman Empire in 18th and 19th centuries.

    I jeered him when he played for them but I don't hate the guy. He's just a guy trying to make a living. Anyone from any country is welcome to support Celtic and to label a whole country as Pro one team in Glasgow is daft. My favourite Croat to watch was Prosinecki. He was outstanding against us.

    How much difference between the nonsense claim "Croatia = Celtic, Serbia = Huns" and real life do you want?

    Shut the * up or you'll get raped by a Serb!:icon_mrgreen: Only messing, I see your point, I didn't mean to rush in there and defend Serbs and all. Just giving my insight.

    Because he's pretty narrow-minded, there's only green and blue in his head.

    Finally, at least someone with more than basic knowledge of history in these areas.:50:
