CELTIC Invincible Erik Sviatchenko could be in line for a shock return to the Hoops this summer.

It’s understood the Danish defender is back on Celts radar as new boss Ange Postecoglou plans a massive summer overhaul.


The 29-year-old has a buy-out clause in his FC Midtjylland contract and there is interest in him from the English Premier League.

But Celtic are also keen after Sviatchenko rediscovered his top form to help his club back into the Champions League qualifiers.


The popular defender, who still has three years left on his deal, won two titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup during his time at Parkhead.

Sviatchenko was in Brendan Rodgers’ Invincibles squad which won the Treble in the Northern Irishman’s first season as boss.


He returned home in a £1million deal three years ago and has won two championships and the domestic cup with Midtjylland
