It's * hilarious watching all the outrage about this. Absolutely zero self awareness (as you'd expect) from these arrogant *, greeting because another country has more money than them.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for the EPL.

As much as I detest the EPL and their steroidal cash flows, you'd have to be off your head to enjoy Saudi Arabia muscling in on football transfers. Bernardo Silva is an absolute gem of a player. Going to play in that country as opposed to the top 5 leagues is a new nadir for football.

The English can be smug * and hypocritical but Google Saudi Human Rights and we're not talking about the same thing. Depressing as *.

That’s heartbreaking that Bernardo Silva is going there. He’s been my favourite player to watch in the world now for a few years.

Surely only a matter of time before the Saudis get a TV deal to show the games here?

It doesn't make much difference to me if all these big players start playing in Saudi Arabia, the game has been * for a while, but it is funny watching the EPL panic.

Just wondering how things will change in terms of champions league etc in future.

It's the EPL that's caused the game being * imo, so watching them get on their high horse is funny as *.

Let's ignore real Madrid starting the galactico signing policy..

But that's Real Madrid, the biggest and most successful club in the world. They could justify spending big like that.

The EPL you've got virtual minnows being able to out spend huge worldwide clubs, due to simply playing in a league that's been artificially bloated by Sky TV and billionaire owners who have no business being in sport at all.

    Big difference.

Madrid was backed by Spain then allowing them to become that big. I see no difference.

Everton spending half a billion in under 10 years is an example of the ridiculousness of it all.

It's not about Madrid specifically though, if it was comparable then the entire La Liga would have been spending mega millions on the best players in the world, not just Madrid.

For the rest of world football, yes that's rediculous. For that league it's actually very fair, unlike Madrid.

Every team gets a fair split. Madrid got a complete unfair split.

I suppose 'fair' is one way to look at it. But taking into account the difference in size (in terms of fanbase) between Madrid and most other Spanish teams, it's not exactly surprising they got a bigger share.

In fact, I don't know who was bankrolling them at the galacticos stage, but I assune it wasn't some underhand dodgy dealing from the Spanish FA? How exactly did they gain an unfair advantage? (Genuinely don't know the ins and outs of it).

English teams overspent on players to make sure they got them for 10 or 15 years. Making it almost impossible for clubs outside of a handful to compete so anybody supporting a premier league club needs to shut their cake hole.
