Not sure what the snake went so conservative with his team and the system their playing for this game, this Chelsea side aren't that great in my opinion. Also both Maddison and Perez are being played out of their best positions and they're giving the two Chelsea full-backs an easy time of it I reckon.

That’s got nothing to do with VAR. It’s the handball law that’s the problem. That and the offside law need sorted.

 

Never seen so many people furious at illegal goals being chalked off.

Aye. I mean, it’s a * farce that it was considered a handball. In a sane world it would have stood. The new law is a mess.

 

Even Sterlings goal being chalked off against West Ham for being offside.

The fact is that he was offside. If a linesman had given that offside last year people would have creamed themselves saying what a great decision it was.

If people think that the rule should be that you need to be 3 inches or more offside before you're offside then change the law.

 

Agreed.

VAR is just a scapegoat. People don’t seem to be able to separate the technology from the laws of the game.

 

I think the problem is the suggestion VAR makes the game "fairer" when it really doesn't.

A handful of decisions are scrutinised to death while the vast majority aren't and that is not how football works. Awarding a corner or a throw in the wrong way or allowing a free kick to be taken from the wrong place affect the game more than whether a ball skims somebodies finger or if someones shoe lace is offside.

I wouldn't disagree with your point.

However, I still find it's hilarious when you have commentators crying 'That offiside decision is outrageous. It was only his right knee" or "It only bounced off his arm without him knowing".

The rules are "no, scoring part of your body can be over the line" and "it cant hit off someones arm are in any scenario before a goal". The decisions are correct. If referees gave those same decisions you couldn't complain.

Whether or not the technology is expanded to be used for other parts of the game such as throw ins or corners may be brought in soon, who knows, it feels like the EPL game is going that way

 

Maddison is decent and has a good right foot....especially at deliveries, but I think he's overrated..

But genuinely have ever seen it with that Ayoze Perez.

 

He's a young lad still & this is his second season in the PremierLeague. I think he has been the best player on the pitch this half.

 

He’s a good striker of the ball but doesn’t seem to have much of a football brain.

Rodgers playing him wide isn’t helping him either.

 

If Tammy Abraham rocked up for a game at the 5s you would tell him to beat it. Absolute pish in my opinion.
