ooney deal is a good one, far too many times the players have folded in winning/difficult situations and its needed players with that winning mentality and experience for some time. Lukaku leaving although a shame is also a no brainer. Romelu demands far too often the team to play solely around WHAT SUITS HIM. He has the arrogance of a boxer talking himself up constantly yet in 4 years with Everton his first touch/back to goal play and inability to score in big games (Even for Belgium!) remains * and yet he still goes on international breaks talking like a big shot and touting moves. Basically he is Man Utd's consolation prize for Morata

Seemingly he gets people trafficked by his agent as despite Chelsea winning the league last year and Romelu saying he 'wants to win the league' he's gone to a club that finished a mere two places above Everton instead as his agent gets more money off Man Utd. But Everton fans if you watch Toffee TV seem happy. The club has changed irrevocably from when Wayne left and hopefully he can end our 18 year Anfield Hoodoo by slotting one in the Kop End on the 9th December :D

I think Rooney will do well with Everton. He'll be played in his proper position every game which will do his confidence the world of good, Everton fans love him too. Good move for him him at this stage.

Surely seals Barkley's fate, sacrificed on the altar of Wazz.

Concur + Koeman desperately needs a leader on the pitch as much as the player needs to make the most of what is left of his career. I think a lot of quality remains, not to mention goals

Can't believe they got £75m for Lukaku. Is that in the top 10 of transfer fee's ?

He's decent, but nowhere near worth that amount.

Just had a look there... joint 4th highest transfer fee paid behind Pogba, Bale & Ronaldo. Man U paying around £160-170m for Pogba & Lukaku :52:

He's been near enough the top scorer for worse teams for 3 seasons now. A striker who can score is what utd need badly.

I don't care how many goals he's scored. There's no way he's worth that amount. If he stays there for the next 5-7 years scoring 25-30 goals a season I'll take that back, I severely doubt he will though.

I give him a season or two and he'll be on the move again for a greatly reduced price.

Believe it will be £90m if all of the add-ons end up getting met.

Absolute madness. You would think £30-40m would be enough for a guy like him. English football is mental.

When we're wanting 30-40 for dembele I can see how a player that scores over there and also counts in there home grown quota thing is worth more, nobody is worth 75m but think of it as a % of turnover. In that regards he cost the same as rooney all those years ago. I can see him being a success.

It would be good to see Rooney lose a bit of weight, get into good shape and have a good 3 or so years at Everton to round off his career but I think he may be too far gone, seemed to lose his spark a good 3 or 4 years ago and hasn't really seemed interested in getting fully fit.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to find him a solidified position as well. Striker, midfielder, attacking midfielder, what is he anymore? Needs to shed some weight for sure but doesn't matter if he's gonna be played in a useless spot.

He made a point of mentioning his fitness in his press unveiling, will be a big factor in how well he does.

Spurs counting the windfall of Alves to PSG, Man City will suddenly find a bigger price tag on Kyle Walker's head.
