In a boring league I find them quite entertaining. It's amazing that in recent years they've procured possibly the best two attacking players outside Messi and Ronaldo (maybe Neymar) but they've also used them to the best possible effect.

Brendan with Suarez played incredible football and nearly won the league for the first time in 20 odd years.

Now Klopp with Salah has made the UCL final playing crazy entertaining football and they've sussed Man City out which is quite an achievment, as did Brendan last season.

City and Liverpool are the only interesting things about the EPL, the rest of the fixtures are so uninspiring.

Stevie G slipped up once before to lose the title, he's about to slip up again so I don't worry about him.

Almost everybody I know doesn't like Kane as well, I don't really understand why? Seems pretty inoffensive and a great finisher. Is it just that he's English (which is a perfectly acceptable reason to not like him btw)?

I've heard someone mention this before but I don't understand it as Liverpool is a pretty big Irish Immigrant city. All the Beatles have Irish ancestry.

Plus why would they sing Athenry even though they * with the lyrics plus it seems to be the only song they know which does wind me up a bit.

I did read their original founder was a member of the Orange Order but that was ages ago and isn't a part of their identity although there is a rumour that within Anfield there is an Orange Lodge. Fecking knew there was a reason Dalglish chose them above all others

 

Always been told Everton were the popular team with the Irish diaspora in Liverpool but * if I know.

 

Same here, I'm quite sure there is no sectarian issues between the sides as supporters often come from the same family.

Anyway Madrid are fascists so I want Liverpool to pump them on the 26th though it's pretty unlikely to happen.

 

The biggest Orange walk outside the six counties and Scotland is in Liverpool, pretty sure there was trouble at it last year so times may be changing.

 

Ah right, I did not know that. It's amazing the institution is allowed to survive considering it's quite obviously sectarian.

Anyway I just seen a headline in the Herald saying the Orange Order in Scotland is on the brink of collapse so that's good news.

Unless Stevie G gives it the boost it needs by bringing up Souness the head of his Anfield Lodge to help restore their identity to motivate the fans and players

I thought he was hired because their position was starting to look precarious and he's the ultimate fireman of the EPL. I hope he signed a 3 or 4 year deal because at least he'll get compensated but it's a bit much sacking him for doing exactly what they wanted him to do. Should at least have given him another season to see if he could get them punching above their weight again.

I doubt he'll be bothered by it. There will always be clubs looking for Fat Sam's specialty. Everton again next season.

Mind you it's a team I've never ever got excited about. Definitely not a Grand Old Team to Play For.

I like Coleman though, he's pretty much world class and it's a mystery how they've held onto him cause he must've got offers from top clubs. Did we have him on trial when he was very young?
