Falcao is second to the likes of Luis Suarez, RVP, Aguero, Ibrahimovic, Higuain, Lewandowski and Diego Costa.

Costa played second fiddle to Falcao at Madrid. In fact they sent Costa out on loan:56:

The thing is he hasn't done it in the CL, for the few games he did play he has an alright record. He's not the best player in the prem, everything he has done in La Liga and Europe has already been equalled by Costa(9 goals in the CL which has less games and harder teams than the EL).

I've watched him every season since he became known with Porto, I just don't rate him as highly as some others because he's done nothing outside of the Europa league and his record in Spain has been the norm for strikers played for top 5 teams there like Negredo and Soldado.

He really did, 1 versus Liege, 3 versus Porto (and Falcao) and 1 versus Barcelona.

Costa was only 22,23 then now he's 25 and far better.

Falcao is better than Lewandowski, Higuain, RVP for definite.

Possibly a few of the others too.

    No chance.

Suarez - Phenomenal player but I wouldn't class him as an out and out striker. Not much between him and Falcao.
RVP - Far too inconsistent and injury prone. Rarely impressed by him nowadays.
Aguero - If he could stay fit for 5 consecutive matches then he probably would be the best.
Ibrahimovic - Inconsistent as well. I've seen him play about a dozen times and I've yet to see him have a great match.
Higuain - He's good but he's not top class. That much was evident at the World Cup where he was pretty *.
Lewandowski - Scores plenty but he doesn't have that something special about him. Falcao can pop up with a goal from nothing from 30 yards, free kicks, headers, left foot and right foot.
Diego Costa - He needs another season to properly put him up there.

No but the thing is, he has done it in the CL. 4 in 8 appearances is pretty good. And that's twice you said he's done nothing outside the Europa League. The Europa League is a very good standard.

Falcao put Costa out a place in the team at Madrid. And let's no forget Costa was horrible at the World Cup. Rank rotten. Failed.

Aye ok then:smiley-laughing002: We'll see this season who's the better player. As it stands currently ..

Since Falcao took Costa's place at A.Madrid

    Falcao 1 Costa 0

Falcao spent half of last season injured, you can hardly say others aren't better than him because they were injured.

    Why not?

Aguero is injury prone whereas Falcao isn't. Aguero always seems to play a couple of matches and then pick up an injury, then get fit and get injured again. Falcao was kept out by a serious injury that kept him out for months.

    RVP is the same.

The Man United fanboy love for Falcao here is ridiculous.

He's a good player, scored a lot of goals in the Europa League - expected as almost 100% of the games he played in he played for the favourites to win the match.

Scored a lot of goals in Portugal - for Porto who have won 9 titles in 12 years. So basically playing for Celtic in the SPL

Then he played in Madrid, once again scored a lot of goals but at the same level as Soldado and Negredo.

In France where it's harder to score he struggled, badly.

Last season was the only season in 7 years that Aguero hadn't played over 40 games for his club, both players suffered from injury for the first time in years last season, Falcao missed 20 games and Aguero 19

    RVP is injury prone though.

    Quite evidently, he didn't.

13 goals in 22 games is struggling badly? Right you are.
