Maybe evens it out, so it's not really a point that it would have over it. For the last 25 years English football has been dominated by no ody but Manchester United. For the next 4/5 years it'll be dominated by Chelsea and Manchester City.

    That's guarenteed.

    Ahh, I agree with that.

Barca and Real are beyond anything in world football except Bayern. Which is why Atletico winning it last season is one of the best stories in modern football.

    That's what I meant by historically. :50:

(Since Lisbon Lions all the winners of the league) [Since the Premier league wins]

    Real Madrid (21) [7]
    Barcelona (14) [10]
    Atlético Madrid (5) [2]
    Valencia (3) [2]
    Athletic Bilbao (2)
    Real Sociedad (2)
    Derpotivo (1) [1]

    Man City (3) [2]
    Leeds (3)
    Everton (3)
    Arsenal (6) [3]
    Derby (2)
    Liverpool (11)
    Nottingham Forest
    Aston Villa
    Man United (13) [13]
    Blackburn [1]
    Chelsea (4) [3]

Think Spanish football is generally less competitive. Copa Del Rey was quite open for a while but only really due to Real and Barca trying to dominate Europe instead.

Something I actually found weird is Celtic and Bayern have won the exact same number of League titles and FA Cups since Lisbon Lions.

Wonder if Chelsea got a new manager (obv won't - but hypothetically) would they play better football and be able to win against the big teams.

I mean looking at their team you'd think they could stand toe-to-toe with Barca, Bayern and Madrid.

    Courtois
    Luis Terry Cahill Ivanovic
    Matic
    Willian Oscar Hazard
    Fabregas
    Costa

Positions may be iffy but that is some line-up and they have plenty in reserve.

Pity they play like they do.

Don't think that team is good enough to stand toe to toe with them to be honest, only way it might be is if Guardiola was the manager who replaced him.

Seeing Bournemouth on the tele there kinda summed up English attitudes.

'The pinnacle of world football' - such nonsense from fans whose team has every chance of coming 20th.

It's like they've never even heard of European football.

Should be a red card there. Weak refereeing.

    Justice served I suppose though.

    Arsenal destroying Hull here....

24 in 46 for Sanchez, 16 in 30 league games and on a hat trick.

    Shame it's too * late. :31:

Lousy season for Everton this year

Could do with shipping out some of the dead wood in the summer and bringing in some fresh faces

The problem is money though, in that there's not a lot of it to spend

I know of a few of you Scottish based Celts have a soft spot for one or both Merseyside teams

Don't fancy taking McGeady back in exchange for Virgil do you? :50:

    Ha Ha

Thought that would be the answer

In fairness, I do like McGeady, but if Lennon is coming in and Mirallas is also staying, then he'd be third choice probably. There's options in the winger department (Although Martinez doesn't seem to like actually playing two recognised wingers most of the time for some reason)

Desperately need a CB as both Distin and Alcaraz are past it

Virgil is magnificent. Big fan of his. That free kick in the Semi Final was * on a plate

Would have him at Everton tomorrow with no complaints whatsoever

    I'll take McGeady for Efe?

Great respect for Everton tbh wouldn't have a bad word to say about them
