    thats a fair enough assessment

we havent quite clicked yet, but theres a good team somewhre in there, problem is our attack is missing unpredictability, a spark. could be martial, could be depay in a few months, but I agree we've spent crazy amounts and still not got much better. Our defence looks good though, but the goalie position is a major concern. Our midfield is quite good and deep. We've got a donkey upfront, but a donkey who'll eventually perform well in 1 game out of 5 and people will forget how much of a liability he is. As for our big signing, Depay is too young, too raw, bags of potential though.

Still like van gaal's plan, I think at some point of the season things will fall into place, but by then we wont be within a shot at the league. Hes been underwhelming, but his ideas are forward thinking unlike moyes who lived in herbert chapman times. High pressure, pass and move the ball, these are the tenets of any successful team in the future. Neither fergie nor moyes understood it, and we were left behind in terms of style and football. With fergie we still won titles because the man was a freak and could motivate the laziest of players, but football wise, our style was primitive and we were exposed repeateadly against more sophisticated rivals, the same ones we0ve beaten more often than not under van gaal (his record against big teams is phenomenal)

and I think we'll do a lot better than people expect in the CL

Yeah I think so, just seems a bit strange though that Mourinho was desperate for a centre half, gets one then leaves him out the euro squad.

Southampton have taken our best player 3 years in a row. Just want to say that that sucks. :54:

36 million we have made from those sales or something. How much have we spent in the last 3 years anyway?

Talking to a scouser this morning that is convinced the later kick off is all part of how the police weed out hooligans before the Brits play in a major tournament.

I remember our night game against the Huns in the scottish cup we played them a lot that year and this was the one with the most arrests
Late KO's for a derby match especially on a weekend is asking for trouble

Heard that before, not so sure about this game though, most local United don't give a * about England, the scousers are the same
