No, Barcelona skelp teams because how good they are, id pay £10 a week just to see their games if they were on a Barca TV sort of channel instead of Sky, there is no better team to watch and hasnt been for over 10 year now.

Real I actually find quite boring though unless they are playing Sevilla, Atletico, Valencia or Villarreal who usually give them a game.

Bayern V the likes of Koln isnt great but theres more quality to their play than any English team so more watchable.

The Man U game yesterday and 2 games today are only competitive because none of the teams are doing anything to keep you interested.

 

At least there is good football being played.

It's been competitive because both teams have been utter garbage. You were going on yesterday about wanting to watch top players etc, well there hasn't been any real quality in this game so far.

A could watch Barcelona smash teams 10-0 every week easily. A bet most would because you can be * sure you'll see a wonderfully stunning performance to go with it.

 

He is but he is a goalscorer as well. He'll score a lot for them, not there to take them to the next level but can be a game winner. I think Mertesacker and Koscielny are a solid partnership who get absolutely zero protection.

Contrast that with Terry and Cahill at Chelsea, who are probably about the same level but who get covered superbly by Matic. The biggest problem they have is defensive steel. It's not new players or a new spine (even though I do agree that they could be doing with a class striker) but they need to add steel to their performances.

Competition isn't the mark of a good football game for me. Quality is.

Barca going into unreal mode and smashing teams 6/7 is one of the most entertaining things in football.

 

It's pish and yet you still watch it and post about it in this thread...

It is competitive because neither team are the top team in their league which is where the above analogy first falls. This is not Barca v Getafe it is more Villareal v Malaga.

Secondly those other leagues are not the processions you suggest. Barca failed to win over 21% of their league games last season and Bayern over 26% therefore neither win 7-0 every week.

I have no problem with Scottish folk or Irish folk choosing to watch the EPL but sometimes it is portrayed as being more competitive than other leagues when this is not always borne out by the facts.

 

You could quite easily get a similar type of game between these two teams when they meet second time round. What "top" players are on show for these teams?

I don't understand, if you don't like it, turn it off and do something else! I don't particularly like German football, so I don't watch it, and I certainly don't waste my time posting in the German football thread constantly telling every * how much I hate it.

 

I don't think Mertesacker & Koscielny are close to Terry & Cahill defensively mate. To add steel to their performances, they will need new players in my opinion, because I don't think they have it on their ranks currently.

I don't think there is many "world class" players in the EPL to be honest. It depends on what you view as world class right enough. If there another half decent game on at the moment, I wouldn't be watching it, but I have even less interest in watching Tolouse & Saint Etienne, or woman's football. I would rather be watching football in some capacity as well if I'm honest, so Stoke v Liverpool seemed the best option. I haven't said I hate English football either, I said I would watch some games this season.
