    Whats wrong with Sturridge is he goosed again?, when Liverpool punted Suarez last summer they probably couldnt have imagined Sturridge would barely kick a ball either.

    Aye, I do. Giroud scores a lot of goals, then they have the class in Sanchez to tae them to that different level. The problem is everycunt just strolls through them. If they get a good defensive midfielder in their they are title challengers. Without they just have nice wee touches with a soft underbelly.

    A better striker would go a long way as well but Guroid is capable of 20 a season, on the form last seasn anyway. Sanchez is as well. Ozil, Cazorla, Ramsay etc. all very nice but they have no defensive capability in there. If they had even a shred of it they would be a very good team.

    No for me mate. I think he is a poor player overall Giroud. They aren't good enough in central defence either. They needed a whole new spine to their team, although he was shocking for the goals today, Cech is a start, but he is only one of 4 positions they need to sort out.

    He isn't a bad player, Giroud, he's just not that good. He scores quite a few but he also misses plenty of sitters.

    Look at the main strikers for the other top four teams - Costa, Aguero and Rooney. He's nowhere near as good as them.

    To be fair id say him and Rooney are about the same level now. Rooney does heehaw and hasnt kicked a ball for 3/4 year. He is also now just a very average player.

    Arsenal and Man U have 0 chance of winning the League with them as their strikers.

    Sturridge I think is the 3rd best striker in England now, good goalscorer but also a higher class of footballer than those two plus he's got pace on top of that.

    I think Rooney may have just gone stale at Man U, last 3 years say he's declined into their version of a Stokes when he used to be a Hooper. Where he just doesnt quite cut it and probably shouldnt be starting for them - well definitely shouldn't be if they had someone better but they don't.

    liverpool have been nothing short of a shambles in that half, nothing going forward at all, and those 2 centre halfs and goalkeeper are a mistake waiting to happen
