:50: Not all Chelsea fans I know are, but most (probably around 75% or 80%) are.

Rooney has asked for a transfer for the second time in three years.

    http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/22460580

He hasnt progressed anywhere near what he should have. Had the potential as a teenager, just seemed to reach a plateau in his career development. Dont think he is the talismanic player for United that is claimed. Be interesting to see what happens when Moyes takes over.

Apparently if Moyes leaves for Man Utd the four top candidates to take over at Everton are Michael Laudrup, Vitor Pereira, Roberto Martinez and Neil Lennon.

Looking around on Twitter a lot of Everton fans would not mind Pereira as he has no release clause in his contract nor would Everton have to pay compensation, but they also like the idea of Laudrup and Martinez (who has some sort of clause in his contract that he can leave Wigan if they get relegated) but they seem to dislike Lennon a lot :smiley-laughing002:

Other names mentioned include Martin O'Neill, Mark Hughes, Roberto Di Matteo, Slaven Billic, Malky Mackay, Gus Poyet, Gianfranco Zola, Laurent Blanc and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, some list :smiley-laughing002:

Why would Laudrup want to leave Swansea for Everton?

It's not as if he'll have a better chance of success there, given their prudence.

Bill Kenwright seemed distraught on SSN. Must be hard for him seeing Moyes want to leave.

If I was an Everton fan I'd be pretty * off we went for Martinez, yeah he's a good manager, if you want your team to avoid the drop, although it doesn't look like he's gonna manage that this year but surely a club like Everton should be aiming higher than that. Moyes will leave them in a pretty good state, surely the job of the owners is to find a manager that will take them to the next step...cant see Martinez doing that.

The frustrating thing for Kenwright, most of all, must be how he hasn't managed to sell the club yet, despite supposedly trying for the best part of a decade.

Are Man U fans in general happy with Moyes?

I reckon some will go back to supporting whoever they supported before they started supporting United.

Obviously he wont replicate Fergusons longevity or success, but I think he is a manager with the same beliefs and ethos. He fits into Uniteds policy or developing talent. Only downside is he has no real European pedigree but I think he will do well.

Two of the longest reigns of the Premier League era coming to an end at the same time.

Change is definitely on the horizon now, especially for Man United. Gives Wenger a chance to top Ferguson now though in terms of longevity :smiley-laughing002:

Yes. I know I am. If someone with the European experience and style of Mourinho and the stability and longevity of Moyes was available then that would be perfect but I'm happy enough with Moyes
