You're making way too much of this. No-one saying the premier league is run by masons who are clearly anti-Maloney, just that his performances have been consistently fantastic for 2 years now and he deserves some praise and respect for it.

His great form and talent also ties in to the perpetual arguments about how good Celtic really are, how would they do in the EPL ect. I've seen countless idiots say "no Celtic players would cope in England" and "no Celtic players have been a success in England" and I just like to confront those bullshits with facts.
Maloney, Petrov, Larsson for example. Plus there's tonnes of players who were * in Scotland but brilliant in England. Hoiveld, Adam and Maloney himself.

 

I'd agree with the second paragraph definitely. I'll go back to talking about the American forums by saying that I have to continuously defend the quality of Celtic and the players produced by us, I guess for me seeing people put him in their team of the year is just a bit too much. And I also think that while fans or the media often rate players (or, four our purposes, underrate them) by their nationality, I think that outside of a few egregious examples most players tend to find their level eventually.

Quite embarrassing actually when you see that Suarez was banned for 10 matches, and the general length of ban for receiving a straight red for dangerous tackles is 3 games

Technically very good but hes a man down when the opposition have the ball, he doesnt track runners, shut down or anything just jogs about in slow motion.

Not a player id want to play in big games.

 

The person who should be most embarrassed is suarez, he brought it all on himself. I admit the ban was harsher than i expected it to be however it should still be more than the standard 3 games you get for a dangerous challenge (i was expecting 5 to 7 games), bad / wreckless challenges are part and parcel of the game whereas spitting and biting etc are not. No doubting the FA are inconsistent with their punishments but it still doesnt excuse suarez.

 

Dire stuff so far.

Needs a goal soon to liven things up.

 

No one has excused it, or defended him biting another.
