Milner is excellent. And I'd take any players in that 'worst XI' at Celtic.

 

Milner excellent? No chance. He works hard but technically is increadibly ordinary.

 

Excellent is taking it too far, hes not as good as Alan Thompson was and Celtic play in the SPL.

Im talking about how sad it is that the two best teams in England now have 11 guys like that in their starting teams.

Look at Spain the now, if their best teams are : Casillas Ramos Pepe Varane Marcelo Khedira Alonso Di Maria Ozil Ronaldo Higuain and Valdes Alves Puyol Pique Alba Busquets Xavi Iniesta Pedro Messi Villa.

I bet if you done that 10 years ago England would have had maybe the 2nd strongest "weakest" players behind Italy, now they're probably 3rd/4th.

Milner's good imo, just these days it's hard to be a non-pacy winger.

And then in the middle he's not good enough to play for a top team. But teams like these two need players like Barry, Milner, Hernandez, Cleverley etc. They're happy to sit on the bench.

People like Dzeko aren't and it must mess up squad harmony/morale etc.

Barry's a decent player as well, they just tell him to pass it to Silva/Toure etc so he doesn't have much freedom to influence games like he did at Villa.

Welbeck is *, I don't care what anyone says. Maradona could sit me down and explain how he benefits their team and at the end of the conversation I'd still think he was a complete donkey.

In most games I watch with him, at least once he just completely runs the ball out of play. He'll even make a decent pass, but it was intention to dribble with the ball, he's just over-hit it and then had to get something on it.

 

Not as good as Thompson? Absolute nonsense.

He's quick (without being rapid), he can beat players, cross, shoot, score goals, works his knackers off and is very versatile.

He's a good hard working player whos decent on the ball but no more than that.

Score goals is taking it a bit too far too, in 402 Premiership, European and International games he's scored 34 goals and about 1/5th of them were penalties.
