English Premier League 2012-13

It's not exclusively London teams ( I was half joking) I know a few Sunderland fans and a few darlo fans that go abroard with them but I don't think they go down to Wembley that often. I don't think many of the Man U fans I have ever met have been particularly bothered about England though.

Never seen any the game except the last couple of minutes. Sunderland fans seemed to be cheering did they play well?

Thats a sad statistic though really as this Man U team are probably the weakest since the early 1990s yet are so far in front in the League it shows the decline in the quality.

If you went back to 2007, English football had Ronaldo, Fabregas, X.Alonso, Mascherano, Robben, Drogba, Essien, Ballack, Makelele, Neville, Henry and a lot of people who are still the better players in England now were better back then than they are now Ferdinand, A.Cole, Terry, Vidic, Evra, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Giggs, Rooney, Torres, Berbatov, Tevez.

The newer players Kompany, Y.Toure, Mata, Silva, Cazorla, Hazard, Kagawa, Suarez and Aguero and some of the same players who are better now that played back then Bale and Van Persie only make it about half as good/strong, probably less than half than 6 years ago.

This season he now has 5 goals in 830 minutes. A goal every 166 minutes.

I was only half watching it but i would have to say not particularly. Considering the players they left out I thought Man Utd were very comfortable for virtually the whole game. While it is only 1-0 there is always a chance which meant the fans stayed with them. As my mate who is a season ticket holder at Sunderland says though they don't seem able to make even simple passes at the minute and look pretty short on confidence ( generally not just today when obviously they were playing the team that is going to win the league easy.)

Aye, he was about 1 stone lighter maybe more, quicker, worked harder and was more creative. Hes got lazier, slower and doesnt create as much now, although he scores more now but the rest of his game has decreased.

I think Rooeneys peak was 2007, 2008 and 2009 when he started scoring all the goals in early 2010 I think it was he became a lazier player more interested in scoring, its not like he added goals to his game, he changed the way he played to score more.

 

He's playing well apparently. He looked alright when he first came before he went to the African Cup of Nations last season.

Just ran with his head down a bit, not knowing when to pass or shoot.

Then he turned gash.

I liked him when I first seen him at Arsenal, he looked tricky and quick but ended up turning into a calamity and started falling over the ball etc probably trying too hard.

Hes a decent player just not really top end class. Could do a job for teams like Newcastle, Fulham, Everton, Wigan, Sunderland etc 15th-8th teams. Similar type of player to Welbeck only Welbecks more strong and Gervinho is more tricky.
