    A bit.

It was the same with O'Leary for me, and what he said about Viduka playing in the SPL.

It's extreme arrogance the way they dismiss players' abilities based upon this and nothing else.

FYI Pardew, we played against Barca and Juve this season in the Champs League, what the * are your lot doing?

Got a good CSC though. I went to uni in Newcastle and travelled with them for three years. Used to get a train up to the Irish Centre for Rangers away games as well always a good crowd in there. Even had their own Rebel Band “Bad Bhoys”

    No.

I used to actually quite like them up until I went to Shearer's testimonial (2007 I think).

Their fans were a disgusting bunch of deluded arseholes...........still are!

Their manager is a vile *.

Their owner/chairman is a fat * with ties now to a certain team on the other side of Glasgow.

Relegation would be a lovely thing to witness again.

That being said, they do have a bunch of good lads who support them and come up here for the Celtic games every now and again.

I like them. Hate the manager, and some of their fans are deluded (who's arent?) but jesus they're passionate and love the team.

Wigan Athletic's Callum McManaman cannot face retrospective action
The FA can confirm that no action can be taken against Wigan Athletic's Callum McManaman retrospectively following his side's game against Newcastle United on Sunday 17 March 2013.

Following consultation with the game's stakeholders (the Premier League, the Football League, the Professional Footballers’ Association, the League Managers’ Association, Professional Game Match Officials Limited and the National Game) in the summer, it was agreed that retrospective action should only be taken in respect of incidents which have not been seen by the match officials.

Where one of the officials has seen a coming together of players, no retrospective action should be taken, regardless of whether he or she witnessed the full or particular nature of the challenge. This is to avoid the re-refereeing of incidents.

In the case of McManaman, it has been confirmed that at least one of the match officials saw the coming together, though not the full extent of the challenge. In these circumstances retrospective action cannot be taken.

The principal objective behind the not seen policy is to address off the ball incidents where match officials are unlikely to be in a position to witness misconduct.

That * rule needs changed * stupid .

Obviously the Liverpool fan sticks up for deluded people :icon_mrgreen:

Just joking, but yea their fans are passionate. Very passionate compared to other English teams.

Just like Liverpool, Spurs, Sunderland and a surprising number of Championship teams, they have a higher-than-average number of delusional fans.

Although I have a mate who supports them and he tells me they've calmed down a little since being relegated. Although, because of last season, they're probably back to normal now.

They've got some really good players though, I'll give them that.

The fact that the FA are taking no action against the McManaman tackle shows just how much of a joke they really are. Have some * consistancy.

Also a lot of the comments about Newcastle are hilarious. We have our fair share of deluded fans, believe me. I've been down to a couple of games and it's been a great day out. Pardew is a *, we can all agree on that.

Carver deserved a reprimand, but the challenge was clearly worthy of a retrospective red card.

That McManaman tackle was shocking! I have seen retrospective reds given for a lot less than that!

Flagrant foul, dangerous play, and no suspension.....yowzza

I dont think the McManaman thing is actually a tackle, he ran over to kick the ball away and missed it and his studs went into the guys knee but it wasnt an actualm attempt at tackling.

It still should have been a red though, whether he meant to hurt him or not. I can understand the ref missing it, but the FA should have retrospectively given him a 3 game ban. If it had been Suarez, Barton or a similar player of that mould they would have been given a 3+ game ban, without a shadow of a doubt.
