Hooiveld never really looked bad for us, he just looked so sloooooooooooow but to be fair to him he only ever played games when he joined(when he hadnt played in months) and then at the start of the next season(when he was obviously just getting match fit again) so he was never fully fit when he played for us. Same can be said of Rasmussen and Lustig.

The transfer windows do * up things for us signing players from Scandanavian countries that play Summer football. As if we buy a player like Bangura in August, then we are basically asking them to play football from February to the following May which is about 15 months of straight League football.

And if we sign them in January, then we are signing them when they havent played for around 10 weeks, asking them to get match fit, for 3 months and then giving them another 2 month break, so they are only playing about 15 games of football in around 9 months.

 

City are a lucky team. Should have conceded and they got a goal that was offside.

 

Why arent they saying Nasri has been fantastic, brilliant and sensational and looks like a right footed Messi?

He's played a pass that set up a goal, and played a pass that won a penalty. He's also played much better than Hazard did.

It was not offside, Tevez was level, how exactly can you say City are lucky, its been one way traffic against a very poor team.

 

He was slightly offside probably by no more than an inch. Infact just rewinded hes about 3 inches offside, half of his boot is offside.

 

He was slightly off but they are a team that always seem to get the benefit of the doubt in my opinion.

And no one can deny that they should have conceded a penalty.

 

Theres a lack of quality centre-mids in England. 4 of the best ones Gerrard, Lampard, Essien and Scholes are all past their best. Apart from Toure the rest arent that good, De Jong, Rodwell, Barry, Fletcher, Cleverly, Anderson, Allen, Lucas, Sandro, Huddlestone, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Rosicky, Mikel, Ramires, Tiote and Cabaye.

The two best are probably Toure and Cabaye. Only 1 world-class centre-mid in England.
