Ferguson won best manager (who else could it have been?) and Giggs won best player. I think Rooney got best goal for the overhead kick against City.

Giggs has the most assist in the prem league history and is the 2nd highest scoring midfielder in prem history.

Fergie was a shoe in for the manager no else comes close.

Rooney goal could have gone either way.

These awards was voted on months ago - Rooney goal was was awarded the best 2/3 weeks ago it has nothing do with Man Utd winning nothing.

Meanwhile, two other players were recognised for their record-breaking contributions to the Premier League with merit-based awards.
Alan Shearer accepted the award for Most Premier League Goals with 260, while David James received Most Premier League Clean Sheets with 173.

    That's what I feel.

He's got the award for the fact he's played in it 20 years.

If it was on quality, I can think of at least 20-30 better players off the top of my head.

He got the award because he was on the short list that fans picked due to votes - then the experts picked it .

Giggs beat off competition from team-mate Paul Scholes as well as former Arsenal players Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp to clinch the vote from a panel of experts.

I would not have gave him it i would have gone for Henry or Ronaldo due to the impact they had on the league .

But you can not really moan about him getting it .

Like the goal i went for paolo di canio scissor kick.

    Exactly.

The whole point of the thing is to celebrate 20 years of the league, and he is a guy who's played in it that whole time, to a consistently high standard.

I don't think many folk would suggest that he's a better footballer than the likes of Gullit, Bergkamp, Henry or Ronaldo - but that's not what the award's for.

    :50:

Not a fan of any English club. Let's say I prefer Utd to City because my wee brother is mad for them and that is only reason I would like Utd won, only because my younger brother was sad. Just like he prefers Celtic to the Huns because of me.
As a neutral person, I agree man Utd spent money, but Moncur67 explained it very well.
Well, people like Busby, George Best, Charlton, can City buy it?

The funniest thing I saw in Sunday was a neighbour's son who wore City top and I saw him wore Lampard shirt from 2005/2006 season. :56:

Yes, I have been thinking about that. Mancici is an awful manager. He spent so much money and won the title in the last minute. With that team he has, he should win it 5 weeks earlier. People like or dislike Fergie, but everyone has to admit he manages his team well, because he had so many injured players, so as Arsene Wenger.

This is what my family members told. Some of them are Utd fans. Some of my friends who are Utd fans claim sheikh paid to QPR players to lose. They say:" When they heard Bolton lost, City scored 2 goals!" :56:

Man Utd fans are glory hunters... haha. My brother has been supporting them since the time Liverpool was better team. He says he likes them because of George Best and he has a spot for them because of Busby's babies.
So, 5 years old kid in Man Utd shirt is a glory hunter. :56:He started to play football when he was 5 and he has been a Man utd supporter when he was 5 and believe me he is a football encyclopaedia.

My neighbour's son who is 34 in City shirt and ex an Chelsea supporter. That is what I call glory hunter.
About Celtic fans glory hunters-Am I a glory hunter? I am not from Glasgow, I am not from Scotland, I have not got a drop of Irish blood, but I support Celtic. It was really "nice" feeling when whole class teased me when we lost the title in 2005-McDonald destroyed us. And when were pumped by Artmedia. I said: "So , what that is sport, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!" The way we lost the title last year. It was painful to me. No, I didn't stop supporting Celtic and started to support City or whoever.
It is unusual to see a Celtic supporter in my part of the world. People are more than surprised when they hear I am a Celtic supporter. I don't support any Serbian team although I can say I have a spot for OFK Beograd, Athletic Bilbao, Cliftonville and Barcelona because I like what those clubs mean to the people of Catalonia, The Irish in Belfast and Basque county, but I can not say I am a supporter. Just like to see they do well.

About City and Utd case, it is obvious that money spoils football, no matter which club spends the money. It would be great if all football clubs had same amount of money to buy the players. I hope UEFA will do something about that.

Tevez says he didn't know what had been written on the transparent-RIP Fergie. Come on Tevez, eevn a non English speaker knows what it means.

"People from Arsenal have claimed for all year that I came here for money and I am greedy. I hope they see how I receive medal for the champions of England. They haven't won anything for years.said Nasri for TF1 channel.

    :38:
    City players are disgusting.
They don't know how to respect the opponents.

Wether Nasri took stick from a section fans or not, he should have enough respect for some of the fans who's wished him well, even more so in top of that he should have enough respect for Arsene Wenger and his ex team mates.

Liverpool FC are refusing to either confirm or deny speculation that Dalglish has resigned as manager. Boston review gets underway soon.

Everton's appeal against Tim Cahill's red card in Sunday's 3-1 win over Newcastle has been rejected.

Players from both teams have to be dragged apart after the flare-up
The club appealed after the Australia international was dismissed following an altercation with Magpies midfielder Yohan Cabaye at the full-time whistle.

However, the club have confirmed, via their website, they have been unsuccessful and Cahill will now serve a three-match ban at the start of next season.

Cabaye, who was cautioned by referee Andre Marriner, had issued an apology on Newcastle's website at the weekend.

"I would like to apologise for the cross words I exchanged with Tim Cahill which resulted in his red card and my booking on the final whistle,'' he said.

"It was unnecessary and, regrettably, the result of frustration and disappointment, all in the heat of the moment. It is out of character and for that I am sorry.''
