Decent game. Not a classic by any means and I was expecting more before it started.

Shame about the atmosphere though. It just never really got going and proved yet again that whilst the English may have the better players, due to money, Scotland provides the best atmosphere on matchdays (mainly due to our good selves).

City full deserved the victory today, and probably the league title to follow. United's midfield just couldn't get to grips during the game. Giggs, Scholes, Park, Carrick...none of them can cut it anymore. Park may be forgiven as he's only returning to full fitness, but he's another one in his 30's that could be bettered.

Amazed Fergie didn't bring on Valencia and/or a striker sooner. Giggs, in particular, continues to go through the motions and get pass marks (presumably) from the manager, for some unknown reason. Wouldn't a younger player injected some pace, enthusiasm and stamina to the game? All things Ryan lacks, now. He's 38, ffs. Time to hang up the boots...Cleverely and Pogba are far better options.

Huge miss for United, as well. They're really lacking someone of his like, at the moment. Yaya Toure strolled through the United midfield tonight...

United's performance disgusted me tonight. The line up, formation and tactics were wrong. Giggs and Scholes cant play in the same midfield these days, United have bottled it this season. They must improve their midfield next season, a quality forward and competition for Evra at left back. :31:

United never really showed up and all in it was a fairly poor game with little clear cut chances.Having said that city fully deserved their win.

Funny seeing all the city mercenaries on twitter saying how the atmosphere was amazing, beat they've experienced etc. I've honestly seen a better atmosphere in a hibs hearts game, never mind our games against the scum. The atmosphere last night, was utter *. Also you can hardly blame it on nerves, there was more riding on our game against them last month and the atmosphere at that game was so much better than last night

Fergie bottled it last night imo, and it looks like city will have successfully bought their first EPL title, congratulations to them.. Must admit though I'm happy for Mancini, because he's a likeable guy

Echo the sentiments about the atmosphere, liked the song at the end but apart from that, not impressed.

I was happy to see City win it though, and hope they win the title. I've got no preference in the Manchester derby, but they've not won the league for a good while so it will mean more to the fans.

You have to wonder if there's one final twist in the title race. Hope City go on to clinch it though.

On the atmosphere as well, everyone at the games, including officials at the game have said the atmosphere was unreal. It's possible that it didn't come across well on the television.

Seemed a decent atmosphere after the game, not so much during it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another twist but I think it's over.

A lot of Irish names in those teams... Whelan, Cahill, Coleman, Duffy, Duff, Carragher, Flanagan, Carroll, Kelly, Shelvey, Kelly, Dempsey, Baird, Murphy,Hughes and McFadden.

Quite a lot considering its only 4 teams.
