For me he has always been suspect at the back. Seems to have concentration problems.

You could argue he cost us the game up at Inverness in May 2011, which ultimately cost us the league in Lennon’s (and his) first season.

Ah, in that case the individual errors have been Ambrose against Juve and Izzy on the weekend. Otherwise it's just the chopping and changing effecting it, if we haven't got a strangehold on the game it's blatantly obvious.

Forster getting injured didn'y help eitherZ

Apart from the error on Saturday and an average game against Motherwell, where most of the team was poor, he has been very good in the past couple of months since the turn of the year I felt, not a million miles off his best (Juve game the obvious example), provided a couple of assists, so I don't quite get some of the criticism aimed at him recently. :97:

True. He's a long way away from being the player he was in his first season with us.

    I know :smiley-laughing002:

Just mad loonies all over the place on the internet. Thank * we have the right guys in charge of the team. Same is said of Kayal too, I cant mind the last time Kayal played and never played well yet you see people on here wanting to sell him as hes been poor :52:

A bad game or a mistake in a game and a lot of people seem to make into months of poor form :97: same happens with Hooper, Commons and Stokes a lot too, regardless of how well they play if they go 2/3 games without a goal it turns into a crisis or if Ledley goes a while without scoring hes been quiet and went missing.

For me he has always been a defensive liability, positioning is poor and gets caught out often with the ball in behind and a long diagonal.

When he is good going forward we tend to forego his defensive lapses but when he is having a bad day offensively it just highlights his lack of defensive ability even more. Need some serious competition for him.

I think the last couple of domestic games he's been poor. But in my opinion he was the best player on the pitch against Juventus, and has been brilliant in most of the European games this season. His form probably mirrors that of the whole team- performed well in Europe and poor in domestic games.

Excellent again last night, well apart from the fuckup he made for the second goal.

defensively not at his best yet but he fair motors up and down that wing and his crosses are vital at times . all in all he,ll get better .

dont know how anyone could sum up his performance last night as excellent, he was caught out of position loads of times and his crossing was absolutely shocking with no one near him.

I wasn't impressed with him again last night. He was caught sleeping at the second goal and his crossing was poor.

It was only a few weeks ago we were all saying that he looked like he was getting back to his best. He seems to be very inconsistent.

He had more possession with the ball than any other player last night and done very little with it really.Cutting inside and crossing with his weaker foot.Should have had Sammy down that wing all night imo.

Juve played him well. They stopped him from getting to the byline and forced him to cross from deep. Obviously it's a bit more difficult to put in a good cross from there, but he still set up a good chance for Kayal. The one time he hit the byline, the ball eventually fell to Commons who lost the ball and Juve countered. Nobody covered Izzy and Juve ended up with a chance that Izzy was blamed for, by a lot of fans, for not getting back. That wasn't his fault, he wasn't covered. For the second goal I'm not really sure. His lack of height didn't help, it also looked to me that he tried to step up to play the offside and it didn't work. The fact that it was Pirlo passing it didn't help either.

I feel for him, he was coming onto a game and made that mistake for the first Motherwell game, and he's been a off form since. The St Mirren goal was just a mess. I felt Forster should have came out and gathered it when Izzy headed it straight up in the air, he didn't and Izzy should have put it out. Dunno why he put it across goal.

Talk about fickle fans. He was by far our best player in the first leg and now all of a sudden he's not good enough to stay at the club? :56:

I thought he played well last night. Although he needed to try and hit the bye line more as crossing from deep wasn't working that is my only criticism of his performance.

I don't see how people can say he was caught out for the goal, it was just a fantastic pin point ball from Pirlo.

I expect us to get a few bids for him in the summer.

    He's had a bad injury.

    Needs time.
