    Gaurin scored because we had more players forward trying to score AND because we were a man down. But more than that, it was an unstoppable strike that you can't really legislate for. Blaming Izzy for that is extremely harsh.

    The team were superb tonight and I think that was one of Izzy's best defensive displays in a Celtic shirt.

    That's nice. But please don't accuse me of being unsupportive,this and a lot of other threads are jam packed with people making negative comments, at least mine is a constructive comment on an actual football issue, defending. It beats the * out of, "....is *".

    Basic defending? I Was a left back and no way would I be taking the blame, he had to watch the guy on his left (Icardi or Xaqiri) who Guarin would have played in.

    Not really many to blame apart from probably Bitton or maybe more Brown as Bitton had been booked shoulda took the guy out. Denayer was out of position which didn't help.

    But for me, thought he was poor, but think he's been having a good season, he's not the best defender but is great going forward, but that seems to be the case with our full-backs (outwith Lustig).

    Their goal wasn't Izzy's fault for not closing down the man, it was due to a lack of VVD in defence.

    Izzy's delivery into the box has been * for a while though.

    He's frustratingly inconsistent but he has undeniable quality. Hopefully he'll be more consistent if/when we sign back up for him.

    No way should Izzy be left out for Wakaso on Sunday that would be mental on so many levels. Maybe during the week after an hour give Izzy a rest and see how Wakaso does but not in such an important game.

    He needs rested now and again it's the only outfield position that there's no competition for places.
