I think so.

 

Didn't think he did too bad apart from making a bad decision sliding for the pen.
Good backup and delighted KT is getting a well deserved rest but we need him back.

 

I honestly don't think he done anything wrong in all honesty until the pen

 

I'd be raging if I was him getting subbed today. Was doing ok, just one poor decision with penalty.

 

He was awful. Four or five times he left a massive space in behind him which got exploited.

He was playing like a winger, completely neglecting his defensive duties. The penalty came from a long ball into the area where he should have been.

 

He’s not decent back up, we should have much better.. we need top options in every position..

 

We won’t get two ‘top’ options at LB.

There’s no top player who will come to us to play 10 games a season.

 

Disgraceful is a better choice if word.

 

Meling from Rosenborg would be perfect backup.

 

I don’t agree with that.. top players will come and battle for their place that’s what they are paid to do. LB should be no different and KT could do with competition, it’s healthy.

KT plays an insane amount of games and we shouldn’t be going into a game v our closest challengers at present, with a LW at LB or Izzy who can’t get up and down anymore and has always struggled with defensive positioning.

 

Each to their own. We won’t get somebody near KT’s level and any top option just won’t be up for not playing.

 

I’ve said it since he came back mate, under-whelming signing who’s best days are behind him. Not adequate cover even with a wee step up domestically, never mind Europe.

 

Be difficult to get anyone in at KTs level but we should absolutely try and get something better than we currently have. LB is no different from any position. We will struggle if KT is out longterm.

 

Being saying this since we played Rosenborg last season.. EPL destined apparently..

 

It’s the ones that flip like * that are disgraceful.

Izzy being played isn’t responsible for being picked / the best option.
For what it’s worth I think he’s good enough as back up, which means he plays when needed. Probably needs more regular game time though.

 

I know we will I’m just being realistic. There is no top option available to us that we can even afford to come here to sit on the bench doing * all 90% of our games because Tierney will be ahead in the pecking order.

Pay them enough, they come.. we may get lucky with KT until the summer, but having only one quality LB on the books isn’t acceptable. We could get an up and coming long term loan even..

 

Two years left on his current deal, EPL scouts sniffing around him and Norway’s LB now too.. Five Million?
