I am with you. I hope Izzy does indeed stay. But if it turns out he is sold in the summer then I will say thanks for the wonderful service you gave us and you will always be part of the Celtic family.

    Izzy going or Izzy staying?

Read a rumour he was gonna fight for his place. Hope he stays.

Needs to go, out with the old and his crossing is beyond what words can express in a negative sense.

In the last * knows many years, he's been our top assist from defence, actually I'd bet in some seasons possibly the team.

I think some people think of some of those crosses that fly out for a goal-kick, it's going to happen, even wee Tierney has a habit of doing it.

I'm Izzys biggest fan but if the rumours are right about his wage, we can't afford to be paying a back up player that amount of money.

what was he rumored to be on i thought he was on about 5-7k

    yeah about izzys crosses

there was absolutely no point in him sending in high crosses into the box! we never had a hartson or sutton type player to make them crosses good

he should have been instructed to get to the by line and try and pick someone out with cutbacks a lot more

saying that i always remember that great cross for hooper against the huns though that wasnt to the head either lol

He near enough handed in his notice after the last game. It was quite an emotional farewell because he has been a great player for us and he loves the club so much.

It was surprising to hear he's coming back for pre season training because it's unlikely he'll be guaranteed the game time he wants.

He's signed up till 2017, maybe the club want to get a decent fee for him and he won't be allowed to just leave?

He is a brilliant player to have as back up, such a tricky situation getting someone who's happy in that role. Can understand the desire to be playing every week.

Ashley Williams is 32 in August. He might like the idea of some European football and working with Rodgers again?

Emilio Izaguirre could make a shock return to former club Motagua after the Honduran outfit confirmed they are trying to persuade him to go home.
The 30-year-old left-back lost his place in the Celtic team last season, but has insisted he wants to fight for his spot under Brendan Rodgers.
He’s spent six years at Parkhead and it was widely assumed he would leave the club this summer until he stated he wanted to stay.

However, Izaguirre’s first club in Honduras, Motagua - where he spent seven years - have revealed they think they can sign him again.
Motagua assistant manager Hugo Caballero said: ‘Emilio has indicated to us he would be willing to sign for Motagua. He has the blood of this club in his veins.
‘He is ready to play for us for the new season and it would obviously be an incredible signing.
‘We’d love to see Emilio return to his home and we hope we can move this forward soon.’
Izaguirre is due to return to Glasgow in a couple of weeks to start pre-season training again before Celtic head off to Slovenia for a series of friendly matches.

There is no way Izaguirre will be on £5/7k per week......maybe when he first signed, but I'd summize he will be on probably about £15/20k per week....if not more.

Not really Swervedancer as he's done almost the same emotional farewell the past 3 seasons, actually one season having the t-shirt made up to say he loved Celtic and to thank the fans lol.

What's the situation with Williams, in first team plans at Swansea or been told he can go?

Would love him to stay on, but I can't really begrudge him a move to a club where he'll be the starter.

    Aye right :56::56:

You think a guy who has been here for 7 year - including one of those seasons as POTY is only earning £12k a week?

    Garbage :56:

I'm just making an educated guess mate, i have no actual figures.

In fact the one and only ever time I've ever seen an actual figure of a Celtic wage was when I opened up one of the lockers in the dressing room ona CP tour, and found Diomansy Camara's wage slip. Cannie mind exactly how much it was, but it was round about the £17k mark.

I'd be disappointed if he was earning much more than 12k a week.
