His best game since returning from injury last season against humphries who can be difficult to play against because of his speed but handled him with ease today :50:

It has taken him a while to find his feet again, but hopefully he can kick on from here.

A first-rate footballer doesn't just become mediocre - Emilio still has it. :50:

Looks like Izzy is growing in confidence.

Had a good game today, hopefully it's the start of him getting back to his best consistently.

Great to see him look a bit more like himself. Great to see the team overall look a bit more like themselves domestically as well, if truth be told.

He had a great game but I'm not going to jump to conclusions and say he has sorted himself out, it might end up being a one off. Hopefully the match gives him the confidence that he needs to keep up those kinds of performances.

Personally I think he's been slowly getting back to his old self. Against Benfica he played great for the first 20 min then lost it. Against Dundee he was looking much more settled, and then yesterday was looking more assured and confident. Hopefully he'll just keep improving and start playing like we all know he can

The thing for me is he has been excellent defensively, in his positioning and tackling. He hasn't been as confident or as assured on the ball or when taking players on. Hopefully with the performance on the weekend there it will boost his confidence a bit. He's said many times that he's not 100% yet.

Hopefully that's starting to change, a 100% Izzy is a great player.

A vast improvement in Izzy's performance yesterday, apart from a few loose passes he showed signs of a return to the form that earned him rave reviews.

Well played Izzy, keep it up Bhoy :50:

I think Izzy's so called 'decline' has been exaggerated by many, if I'm being honest. He has definitely not recovered the form he showed in his first season, since that injury last year, but as I've said before, he is comfortably still one of the best full backs we've had since McNamara and is still the best left back in Scotland.

Yesterday though, he played as well as I've seen him play for us in a long time. Its the first time in * knows how long that he's strolled through an entire 90 minutes with minimal errors.

The first 10-15 minutes against Benfica, I thought he played very well, considering the step up in opposition too, but then he drifted slowly out of the game after that period and was getting beat for pace down the left hand side too much. I didn't see any of that yesterday against Motherwell.
