    I'm assuming were playing with 3 CM and Sammy up on his own? Or Mulgrew on the left with commons sitting just behind Sammy?

    Thought that Lennon might have played Stokes up top after his weekend performance, with Sammy playing where Mulgrew is playing.

    Stokes benched, why should I not be surprised. I can see his reasoning but you can only do it so many times before his confidence takes a hit, especially after a double and the match winner at the weekend.

    Obviously has Mulgrew in there for his set plays which were lethal in Europe last season.

    It's a hard one to take for Stokes.

    Who do you take out to accommodate Charlie in midfield though? Commons can score from long range and Sammy and Forrest have the pace we need to get us up the park.

    I really feel for Stokesy but honestly I think this is more horses for courses rather than a slap in the face.

    I hope he sees it that way.
