Very much this, a typically Celtic response though. If he had put in the 2 performances he did in those matches in a Celtic strip he would be called a donkey and not good enough.

He put in a better performance than Stokes and Forrest over the two legs and Samaras and Commons tonight

"* Elfsborg and * Bangura" is a good summation of how I feel.

Oh, and if there any Elfsborg lurkers on here: "Fan ta Elfsborg och fan ta Bangura"

I thought he had a decent first half, but his usual pish in the second.

Ambrose made him look half decent.

Didn't think he was bad. So many bitter people in here too. I don't think he's a bad guy and looking at him interacting with our team in the tunnel tonight makes me think the team aren't as unforgiving as you lot.

None, this is a Bangura thread? You're going on about him as if we've somehow done wrong by shipping him out.

He's a failure in a Celtic strip and an average footballer in general. End of story.

Kind of encouraging that he wasn't terrible...he is, after all, another one of our investments. Maybe Neil told Ambrose to take it easy on him, so we could sell him on. :smiley-laughing002:

Same people wanting him back are the same ones that crushed him before and MAF for not scoring goals. They'll be the same people crucifying him after he fails to score for us again.

Everybody going on about his acting like a * and he wont be welcomed back. He showed that he will fight and do what it takes to win for the team he is playing for. When you see scott brown sticking in a fly leg or sammy hold his face likes hes been shot to try n get a player sent off our fans are all for it.

The lad was the best player over the 2 legs and no matter what pishy excuse you want to make up for him looking so good it doesnt change that all night tonight he had me biting my nails anytime the ball was sent his way, cos he always done something with it and caused problems!

Stick him up top with a finbogasson or Vossen and you could have a lethal combination. He might not have scored but he made a huge point to celtic. Whether we act on it is another thing

All I'm saying is he played well in 2 matches against us. He gave Elfsborg more options than our forwards gave us tonight. He's far from a world beater but I think he could do a job for Celtic.

bangura did the job he was asked to do for the team he currently plays for celtic may own him but unless they had put a non playing clause in his loan deal then there can be no complaints about him playing against celtic. the fact he played well for them just shows he fits in to their style of play better than he ever did here.

I couldn't possibly disagree more, especially the bolded part.

People are talking as if he's never actually had a run out. When you're a professional you're supposed to force your way into the team. The only way he would have beat our Hooper, Stokes, or Sammy was by outplaying them when he was given his opportunity. He never did. You don't sign a player and just hand the starting job over. The sub minutes he had added up and he was given a couple of starts as well. Nothing came of it. I can't believe that people would have him back just based on quality alone.

And while his hold up play was good, he physically manhandled Efe for one, the resulting passes were usually not that great. If you're not going to be a goalscorer then you need to be a great passer. MAF was far better in that department.

Fair enough, football is a game of opinions :50:

Bangura is still the next Larsson though
