I would agree with that. Very good player with great individual ability but over hyped for sure. Also a real * on the field too. Always looking to dive or faking getting hit hard. Yet is not adverse to a cheap shot himself. Just cannot like the guy given his behaviour on the field which is a shame.

Barca touted to be bringing Messi back for this game, despite not playing since September. Goes to show how desperate they are to put Real to the sword. Personally I wouldn't risk him unless he's in better condition than he should be...only returned to training this week - seems like madness to me.

It has nothing to do with desperation, it's a huge game and it only makes sense that you'd want your best players involved.

I don't think Messi will play the full game, but then again I don't know his fitness level. Although it's the El Clasico I don't think I'd want to risk the best player in the world getting injured again.

The thing is even without Messi Barcelona and in particular Suarez and Neymar have more than stepped up to the plate. If all of them are on form then it's game set match for Barca. Madrid cannot handle them.

I don't see the requirement to rush Messi nor do I think they need him to win.

This will be like watching a Celtic/Hun game from a decade ago. Defensive organisation v attacking prowess. Obviously at a good few levels above.

I think you could put your mortgage on an appearance whether they're struggling or not!

    Messi is on the bench.

    vs

    Real Madrid XI:

Navas - Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo - Kroos, Modric, Isco - Bale, Cristiano, Jesé

Thats what I expected to see Messi starting on the bench and depending on how the game is going he comes on sometime in the second half.
Must win game for me for Real Madrid as they are at home and despite Messi being out injured they have not only not been able to open up some kind of lead at the top of the table they have actually ended up 3 points behind at the end of Messi's 2 month injury absence.

This is the game where Neymar makes a name for himself. He has everything to prove here. I want him to score.
