I don't care if we use the £3m for an Ambrose replacement. As long as he goes and we bring someone in, doesn't matter.

I think we could flog both Virgil and Ambrose this window, and pair Mulgrew with Deneyer quite easily. Then buy in another good centre back for rotation and injury purposes as well, and use O'Connell, Lustig and Fraser as back up ?

It's the same every window, we seem to take our time with getting people in and it's frustrating as * sometimes.

You could say it's best to take our time, pick the best option...but in past windows it hasn't exactly helped.

It's not us, it's the players usually holding out for a better deal or another club coming in for them.

Your telling me it's never our fault? Never? I can't buy that at all mate.

In some cases the players might be holding out but we are often too lackadaisical. The quicker we get our business done the better for me, anyway.

Just like everyone else then. Don't agree at all. Just more noticeable due to his position.

O'Connell is not a better defender than him. If he is, why did Lennon not play him in his place as well as RD ?

O'Connell has played about 60 minutes of football for us yet seems to be the new John Terry. Hope PL reads this forum next time we're in the market for scouts.

    The defensive John Fleck.

Hardly calling him the new John Terry? But id certainly be seeing Ambrose as the lesser of the two. Granted OConnell has played very little what I have seen of him fills me far more confidence than when I see Efe on the pitch.

Because Lenny and RD havnt played him proves he isn't up to it? Lenny and RD have done things, lots of things, that are questionable. This for me is one of them. Who knows why he doesn't get on. .. maybe he's a cheeky we fker in training!! Nought to do with ability!?

Efe is not the standard of player we need at the bk either Spl or Europe. 3mill? * yes!

Neither is O'Connell. Not a chance would I punt a guy with international experience, CL experience, who has been a regular at the heart of our defence on the pretence that a 19 year old with 4 games behind him would be ready to fill in.

Of course he could be a revelation. Or, he could struggle, lose all confidence in his ability and never become the player people expect him to be. Some people anyway.

If we punt Efe we need to sign an experienced replacement. Especially with the Inter tie and while we're still in 3 domestic competitions.

O'Connell? Fraser??? Come on, you're not serious. There is literally no reason whatsoever to consider playing either of them ahead of Ambrose for any reason other than "well they came through our youth team and I like the idea of that". Ambrose is a much, much better player than both. Don't pretend otherwise for sentimental reasons.

It is confirmed that Babayaro instructed Israeli club MS Ashdod to wire at least €50,000 to a personal account instead of the domiciliary account of Kaduna United per best practices.

When Efe Ambrose was sold to MS Ashdod, Kaduna United inserted a 20 percent sell on clause.

But the club did not get a single euro after Celtic bought him for a fee in the region of 1.8 million euros, as the money was stolen by Sabo Babayaro.

Regardless if he goes or not, we need to sign an experienced defender at the very least. He is our weakest point by a mile and Inter and the SPL know it and try to exploit it.

The only thing I see "regular" in him are the frequency of the mistakes, horrendous embarrassing mistakes that actually make me laugh they're so bad. So for that alone, I feel O'Connell deserves to be in front of him and given the chance. Nothing to do with any "we brought him through" ideology. I can't see why some of you boys are happy to see a * player costing us games week in week out just because he has international caps and European games!?!

'Oh aye he's *... but he gets games all the time so we'll continue with that because the other option is a 19yr old who had done fk all wrong anytime he's played..."

    * ludicrous.

Only ludicrous thing is that people jump on every little mistake one of our players make. The good outweighs the bad. The amount if time Ambrose gets back and covers for his partner usibg his pace is unreal, yet he never gets a shred of praise. Since that Juve game the constant stick this guy gets is unreal.
