Never doubted Efe, I actually saw him in Inverness immediately after the Juve game and honestly, I don't think I've ever seen anyone look so down in all my life. It was almost 'cartoon-like'.

He's got great ability. My one worry about him is when he tries to play his way out of trouble too many times against elite opposition. Good strikers get wise to it quickly and can punish us.

Aye, I'd agree with you there. He seems very much a confidence player, and on his day is a solid, composed centre half, but he needs to learn when to try and play from the back and when to boot it out of play. He's a bit 'David Luiz' in that sense.

Got a decent balance in CB position now. Chaz n Efe are both good with the ball at their feet, can start attacks from the back. Virgin and Mouylukolo look a bit bigger and stronger, though Virgil ain't bad with the ball either. Its good, can choose the right guy for the job depending on the opposition.

I've always loved Efe. People have been WAY too hard on him in the past IMO

I think our support tend to beat up on one or two lads in the side (not without reason in Ambrose and Forrest's case) and it puts a lot of pressure on their shoulders. Efe kind of crumbled under that IMO. Hopefully he can continue his recent improvement - at his best (much of last year's CL campaign, for instance), he can be a really solid defender who pushes forward as well. I appreciate that he doesn't just try to hoof it away, tries to make something happen, but * me he's a bit of a bombscare at times!

Starting to change my opinion on the lad, never been to keen on him but his last couple of games have been an improvement, long may it continue :50:

Think people are getting a little carried away here.....shakthar came to parkhead to sit back and defend there lead, not attack. He canny win a header and he will cost us goals in the group stages.

Best game in a Celtic shirt on Wednesday night, was flawless. Delighted for the big man. Just needs to find some consistency & composure which I'm sure will come.

Honestly, I'm not his biggest fan. He doesn't inspire confidence at the back for me, both himself and van Dijk were shocking away at Shakhter. I think he looks to try and turn his way out of situations or dribble his way out, instead of being safe which is what we need I think.

However, I will say, he played fantastically on Wednesday. I thought his runs out of defence were quality, he looked sharp, was anticipating things well and is very fast and powerful.

I hope there's more of that to come, but I don't think we'll get away with him attacking so much from the back in Europe, he'll need to sit tight.
