I actually don't think there is anything that can panic/worry the guy. Simply unflappable. Against better opponents it can come back to bite him sometimes but tonight he was the pick of the bunch at the back.

He was absolutely fantastic tonight, if he had played in Kazakhstan we probably wouldn't have lost those 2 goals.

Outstanding. He could be such a class defender if he could just tidy up a bit and have more conviction in his defending. So pleasing to see him play as well as that, never gave the Karagandy forward a sniff really.

I think tonight showed how useful he can be, bringing the ball out from the back, playing from the back and starting attacks. Can't remember which chance or even goal it was but a guy near me was shouting at him and after said chance/goal i just shouted at him

"that was aww because eh Efe mate, remember that"

tbh I just think the fans need to get off his back about taking touches in defence instead of just skelping it anywhere. Even a few times tonight there was moans when he took a few touches and i'm like *??

this is how top cb's play, key word beIng PLAY not punt, play.

No wonder he's made a few mistakes when every time he takes more than 1 touch half the stadium is screaming at him.

anyway im probably talking * the man was superb and i love him

Not at all. Sammy was once (and still is the odd time) the whipping boy.
    Now it's Ambrose.

Some of it is warranted ... much of it is not.

He wouldn't be a first-team Celtic player if he was a useless *. I like him, too.

Hopefully he's FOREVER in (most) fans' good graces from here on out.

all I want is for him to be given a chance to play his type of football without harassment from the fans.

His style is the present and future and IMO the mistakes will be eradicated if his confidence grows and we get behind him.

As the tags say, we need a song for Efe

I said last week, that we missed Efe as he would not have allowed that striker to bully him like Mouyokolo did. Certainly would think if he played we would have avoided one or both of the sloppy goals we conceded.....doesn't matter now though :56:

Can't have been easy for him playing alongside Wilson, who had no positional sense , but I always thought there was a player there & Ambrose will now prove himself more than competent.

He does sometimes run too much when a pass would be more effective.

    I disagree with that 100%.

Aerially, he ws very poor - in fact, I think he only won about 1/2 balls in the air all night.

On the deck though, he was - and to quote Neil Lennon's favourite word - magnificent.

Big performance. Great poise. Number of times he was under pressure near the touch line and most defenders would've kicked it out. He kept possession and saved us facing more dodgy long throws.

Was a caravan at the back last night. So comfy on the ball for a CB. If only he didnt have a shocker v Juve he'd be a fans favourite.
