Efe Ambrose

The only role I see for him is as a Libero in a back three with van Dijk and Wilson.

You can say what you want but in a season where it looks like we'll have even less meaningful competition than ever he is sure to provide some entertainment. I find him an incredibly endearing character.

 

I didn't think Ambrose was at fault for the 2nd goal last night. Lawrenson said ''the ball was on the over side of the pitch.'' Ambrose started the move by dribbling quite far up the right and the ball was passed across. Guy got tackled in a bad position and Uruguay countered.

 

Me too. Along with Samaras, there's never been another player I've so wanted to see improve and do well. I think he's a really humble guy and a great athlete, and it's clear he's very good with the ball at his feet. I can see him in a 'libero' role, but I can also see him being a good 'box-to-box' utility-man central midfielder. He's a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, and that's not necessarily a bad thing; just have to use him properly.

 

I think i would love him if he played for another team

Right now I have him in the same kind of mindset as Sammy 3 years ago and Massimo Donati.

Its crazy we sign two players from out side spl and they are going to tear every team we play a new *.
We sign a spl player and they are * not good enough for celtic,and no matter how often we are proved wrong fans still think the same.
Really got to give the player's some time to settle,I have said it all along we might not see the real player until they have a year under the belt.
As for Ambrose being worth....4million.....not a chance in * 2 million at best but the same guy middle of next season or next summer could be a much better player and one we want to keep.
But if some fool offered 4 mill i would sell now.

I must be one of the few Ambrose supporters left, hope we keep him.

 

It's not just the last 4 months since juventus that he's been bad, he's a poor defender in general, caught out of position way too many times. Maybe playing in wanyama's position when he inevitably goes would suit him better.

 

Boy, that first back-flip seems like AGES ago, huh?

It wouldn't bother me if he left.

 

I like Ambrose. He obviously has a lot of flaws in his game that he needs to iron out, but there's nothing to say he can't do that. He's only 24 which is still relatively young. I think it's fair to say he definitely has ability, but perhaps he doesn't have a great footballing brain, or just doesn't think. He needs to learn when to play and when to get rid. He's just * nuts.

 

I also think Ambrose has been a good addition to the side; just think at times he goes brain dead and loses concentration(he does have a footballing brain) . It appears to be a trait of young African player, who are physically and more often than not technically better.

I wouldn`t sell him and some folks judgement gets clouded by what happened against Juventus.

He's been nigeria's most dangerous player from RB lol... Everytime they get a chance he's the one playing the ball in!

Never seen too much of Ambrose for Nigeria, all I've heard of him is that he's been outstanding at RB tonight and was selected there in the AFCON team of the tournament. Maybe we've been playing him out of position!

 

Had a good game the night, good show of passing and running forward against a decent side.

 

Just swapped tops with Alba, wee * has played against him 3 times in the last year and scored 3 goals lol
